For getting into writing, I advise not to fret over the mechanics of writing when you're doing it. You're naturally going to doubt if your story is good (this affects other writers, including me), but the important part is to finish the story first. Try to avoid deleting too much words when you're drafting.
When it's done, you can always re-read it and see where you can edit it to be better. I suggest setting a finished story aside for at least 1 week before you re-read it again for edits. This distance helps you see gaps in your writing to revise.
Beyond that, have fun writing for yourself first. It's an outlet for your creativity, and the only eyes reading your first draft is going to be you.

There's a lot more to writing than I can explain, unfortunately. But the most important part is "just write" and read a lot of different stories (this helps with inspiration, creativity, learning new words, etc.). Don't be afraid if you feel like you're riffing off another stories. My older demon story inspired a new writefag to write (their story had a similar premise, but the way they told it is unique to them).
