how to increase japanese cultural output? the zainichi koreans have them beat i will send a message to ishiba
Anonymous No.49869934
Dear Mr. Ishiba,

Japanโ€™s cultural output has long been admired worldwide, from anime and film to literature, fashion, and cuisine. I believe Japan has the opportunity to expand this influence further by supporting young creators, strengthening international promotion, and embracing new technologies such as digital platforms, AI, and immersive media.

Equally important is recognizing the richness brought by Japanโ€™s black communities, whose contributions already strengthen our cultural expression. By investing in creative education, international exchanges, and cross-industry collaboration, Japan can amplify its soft power and ensure its cultural voice resonates strongly in the global arena.

I hope you will consider policies that empower creators and position Japan as a leading cultural innovator in the 21st century.

Kindly do the needful,

Unless you're looking for something specific (a genre, a filmmaker, an actor, etc.), googling would be more helpful. There are lots of helpful lists from Letterboxd with what you're looking for. >Kurosawa Akira
>Ishii Teruo
They're two sides of the same coin. If Kurosawa was the face of the mainstream scene, then Ishii was the face of the underground/indie scene. Both of their careers span the same period. And they have films from the 60s to the 90s as well.

Absolutely. Iwai perfectly captured the dynamic of girlsโ€™ friendship in the 2000s. What's so beautiful about Iwai's sensibility in this film, beyond content, is its tonal, formal elasticity. This is Iwai's distinctive storytelling style, which you could boldly say it's his own genre. And the fluid camera movement here perfectly complements his delicate storytelling. And by the way, Iwai also directed a prequel anime film, you can choose to watch it before or after as you see fit.

It was really fucking good. The live was divided into two parts, the first part a musical and the second part a traditional owarai live/concert. The musical is a parody of Alice in Wonderland.

After Chocolate Planet successfully has their 20th anniversary live, Matsuo goes home and falls asleep while ego searching without taking a bath first.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrkclH7G7S4
The rest of the musical revolves around his quest to take a bath in his dreams.

>during the call and response song osada asked a woman in the crowd "what do you like about matsuo?" but she was too embarrassed to answer and osada walked away going "SORRY (sorry) SORRY (sorry)"
>after the ego search song, osada going through various tiktok memes like the "SHINUUUU" ai voice-over shit
>the tiktok bartender meme re-enactment
>sissonne's second song was great but hasegawa has no musicality so it was kinda ruined
>naomi watanabe making sex noises with osada after her new york song
>the idols were SHIT, especially considering they came after naomi and tonikaku akarui who were the best singers. the akb girl couldn't even lipsync correctly, shiori sato tried to sing but she's tone deaf
>it always shocks me how good of a child performer yuno nagao is
>osada getting very close to panther mukai during his rejection song and making him laugh by going towards his crotch
>"THE COST OF MERCH DOESN'T MATTER RIGHT???" before the bath heating song (parody of kokoro odoru)
>all the girls in the crowd screaming "kawaii" at osada during his bath song
>surprise johnny's lipsync shit
>matsuo crying as osada thanks him
Anonymous No.49899237 >>49900705
>>49899227
And for the second half:
>nishimoto gerrardon making the live staff panic by walking through the crowd
>impossible's cover of ito I guess was supposed to be so-bad-it's-funny but it was just long and boring
>bien could easily pass for a real visual kei band
>the people who went on america's got talent (chocopla, tonikaku akarui, gerrardon) doing their gags completely in english for 15 minutes lmao
>osada calling out gerrardon for fucking up the cardboard gag
>tonikaku akarui's underwear riding up his ass and exposing his cheeks
>10 minutes of unironic commercial reenactments
>matsuo doing a face stand during mr. parka

For the musical part, I feel like the the whole thing was really centered on Osada and I wish Matsuo got more important parts. I'd love a proper CD of the songs.
For the concert part, I wish they performed their m-flo song with Naomi because it's actually really good. The timing of the release a few days before the event makes me wonder if it was planned at some point. Maybe they'll do it at Naomi's Tokyo Dome live next year.
Also it sucks they cut the real musician parts from the online stream, would've liked to see Choo Choo Train.

I'm watching ่ชฐใ‚ˆใ‚Šใ‚‚ใƒžใƒžใ‚’ๆ„›ใ™ and it's supposed to be heartwarming or whatever but the daughter's got neglect issues and the eldest son's a very obvious closet case but the mother's at work 24/7 and didn't/doesn't parent them at all. She only comes home to yell at them about having issues they obviously need help with and then dad unilaterally takes her side because his only trait is that he's a ใƒใ‚ซๆ„›ๅฆปๅฎถ.

Like how do you listen to your daughter tell you she never received any affirmation from you during her early years and then put all the blame on her for being non-committal towards work/relationships as an adult? How do you watch your son struggle with being gay and then get mad at him for lashing out at another guy confessing to him?
