- Summer has arrived on the base and so has Summer CGs.
- Teru Teru Bouzu can now be exchanged. A new LBAS jet, the Ho 229, can be exchanged for 22. Also the GFCS Mk.37 + Summer Beach furniture for 18 and the Sea-colored Ribbon for 12. Remaining Teru Teru Bouzu can be exchanged for buckets and screws.
- 2 limited Summer quests and 2 permanent quests have been implemented.
- New Akashi Arsenal updates allow new equipment to be improvable and new possible conversions. Certain improvements at 7*-9* may now consume different materials.
- New limited drops have been added, including Richard P. Leary at World 2-4 and 2-5. See https://en.kancollewiki.net/Drop_List#Limited_Time_Drops for more info.

Disagree with switching out Souya and making Yukikaze carry the smoke, it would increase FP somewhat, but lower pass rate since Souya has much better armor. Agreed on switching in Hatsuzuki, though I would switch out Yukikaze here to have 2 sets of OASW. Crane vs Kaga could go either way, but I prefer Cranes as well. Also use diamond on H to maximize pass rate. Also make Yamato flagship to increase accuracy.

To clear some things, this is my first time clearing 5-5, i tried few years ago and it was bullshit so i gave up for some time. Now i only have 5-5 and 6-5 q left so i'm forcing myself to clear it. Changed Kaga to fighter mule (+ 1 TB), gave Yukki the AAA radar for aaci and got 3 boss kills, after ~20-25 tries. I'll wait for buckets to hit cap and try to do the rest. Thanks for suggestions

There's your problem. The whole point of the Musashi+Yamato comp is the special touch attack.

The Yamato touch attack is the solution to this problem. Your touch attack is supposed to either land a big touch hit on the boss at the start, or clear out both of the Re's so the whole day battle will be chipping the boss down. To help accomplish this, you also use boss shelling support to try to sink the destroyers (which only needs one sparkling destroyer as flagship, so it's not too much effort), increasing your chances of touch hitting the big ships.

Don't worry, back in the old days touch attacks weren't in the game, so at least you got to get the experience of good old fashioned hazing out of this.

Like the other guy said, Yamasushi touch is the entire point, and echelon also makes your oasw more effective. You should also give Yamato an RE because having a radar gives big damage & proc bonuses to her touch. Every Yamamushi 5-5 comp you'll see will have radars in the RE coz of how effective it is. Many people also prefer to use Yamato as FS with a proto night zuiun in her big 22-seaplane slot, as this functions as additional insurance especially when going up against 2-Re pre-clear comps.

I mean, KC Kaga and Akagi have their boat shoes, landing deck, Akagi has an antenna, stuff like that. Hey guys, me again. Just checking in every year or so wondering if we here in the USA can play Kantai Collection legally or if if you still have to illegally circumvent things. I got out as an AT in the Navy in mid 2013 and was super hyped up for this but also sad that "for fucks sakes, NOW we have shipgirls and I have something to love?"

Anyways, thousands of dollars later buying figures from AmiAmi, HLJ and hobbysearch going to Japan three times now (only recently in the last two years) commissioning two garage kits and for fucks sakes I dunno buying posters and tapestries and drinks and visiting the museum of Yamato and all the places where shit happened. I didn't buy and figures or merchandise this year. I am close to giving up.

You still need to go through a bit of VPN rigmarole to register & play for the first time, but there's no more hoop-jumping or special arrangements required afterwards. There's also an option for some portions of the UI to be displayed in english, but the majority of in-game text is still JP.

2x duck guns + air radar on all of them, Akizuki and Yahagi with 2x seaplane fighters. The air battle node is the only one that cause troubles. Sub node is easy and last battle doesn't matter as long you flagship is afloat.

Atlanta + Duck can potentially shoot down all planes in air node.
Add a damecon to flagship and you won't have to worry about the last battle.

This cunt in 5-3 just won't die today, Start night battle with 50%, took 2x double attack from BBs (with AP shells), 2x TCI from DDs and still refuse to die.Never had much problems with this map but today i at 7th boss fight and still no S rank

Noshiro/Atlanta required as flagship for monthly q. I did this q few times already without much problems, i just have very shitty rng today.
Also 5-3 night nodes are cancer, every single enemy ship can one shot your ship, regardless how many night scouts/flares/night zuiun you have.
