She lost her baby fat. She could have kept it. I've noticed a ton of the ex members go through this period in their 20s where they lose ALL their baby fat and get super skinny. Later on they gain a little weight back but they are never the same. Hitomi is a good example. She was super cute with her baby face in the golden era. Then she gain a little too much weight in 2002. Then she went top hard on losing weight and she turned nearly anorexic. She never looked as good as she did when she had the baby fat. Maki also looked better when her legs had more meat on them. Then she turned into a skeleton. She never gained back her full weight. But with moderate weight gain because of her age ahe looks better now than she did a few years ago.

buccal fat removal should be a crime against humanity.

To mizuki fukumuras credit at least she didnt going through a time where she lost all her baby fat. She still looks good.

Its well known that maki went under the knife a few times over the years. She had to have emergency plastic surgery after she face planted when filmimg Pinch Runner. It broke her nose and she lost teeth. That's why Maki has a bent nose during most of her time in Morning Musume. Shes had several surgeries trying to correct the damage. She also fixed her teeth after she graduated.

She said on her youtube this fall fucked up her face and she decided to quite right then. She wanted to talk to her mother while she was in the hospital but her based manager ignored her and knew the quiting talk was just her being emotional.
