I'm jumping back into the game after 8 months, and I have a Vernis I spent a good 80 hours of designing. Even if I rip out all of the workstations and items to make it feel less "cheaty", I cant imagine putting that time in again, just on landscape editing, when i'm so fond of a result I already have.

Considering how mod friendly the game is, and what with the moongate system, I figured there might be hope.

I completed all the current story content without having to grow/cook anything. That character was a Pianist so I just recruited all the best NPCs and used infinite musician money to gear them from upgraded shops, it wasn't godly OP but it worked well enough. The only thing that requires breaking food scaling is going into stupid high nefia levels in the void. Otherwise you can play "fair" in a variety of styles and still finish all the story content and up to 100 level Nefia pretty breezily.

I played music for living and eat the best bars has to offer. And vomited a lot to pig more food. Did some nefia diving for fun. Stopped somewhere around level 55.

As much as I like Stardew with combat and exploration, Elin is still a mediocre farming sim. You can eat like a god and pray to the best boy for big money, but without any social part with the characters at home it's kinda soulless. Loytel requesting a bunch of shit to build a house with his gluttonous sea lion is funny, but nothing more.
And the story barely involves the player character, so once the game gets a sandbox mode it's doomed to be skipped.

Yes, you will also need to craft a container and set it to "shared". You can also set your shipping chest to "shared" if you want to sell everything automatically. And keep an eye on your soil level.
Delegated farming will harvest your crops and plant new seeds automatically (that is all it does), but you still can use fertilizers and your watering can if you want to speed things up.

Yes, there's not much content in the game right now.
Also many policies are there for tourism, yet tourism sucks ass. So everyone plays in the same way (farm money the same 2 or 3 ways, invest to make more food, eat better food, make more money) because playing otherwise just means making the game needlessly tedious for yourself.
That's also why melee needs a buff, along with many skills. Ideally more of them become a better money source and/or start offering things beside money, for example by bringing back music tickets.

I get his point (even if his example is dumb) but you can't really expect everything to be a powerleveling meta strategy that will help you keep up with enemies that grow stronger every time you play a nice song at a party. Just stop being famous or something.
And I think it makes sense that eating dragons to get stronger is more efficient than than sucking random weirdos every night.

Not really, but marriage is coming this year. Love bentos (introduced in the current nightly build) are related to it.

Nope. Elona is closer to a roguelike/dungeon-crawler than it is to a farming sim. Elona+ (a variant developed by a different dev) introduced some extra interactions with your pet (and big portraits when you talk to them), but every NPC uses the same dialogue lines (you can give unique dialogue lines to specific pets, but you need to either write them yourself or download some other player's dialogue files. And portraits can just be stolen from your favorite VNs).
Elin already have mods that adds new interactions with pets (PartyTalk, CustomTalk, Lovers Night, Hug Me, KK With My Sister, Kawaisa, Kiria's Quest mod, etc.) and I'm sure more will be created after the game gets out of early access, but modders usually only provide dialogue lines for popular girls like Kiria, Gaki and Older Younger Sister (so your spooky handmaiden wife won't say "I love you" after watching birds with her until you put that dialogue line right below her name/ID in the mods' excel files).

I like writing but I just don't see the value of writing your own intimate dialogues to "earn" when you could just write them

People make a big deal about hatched pets being better but it isn't really true desu, especially with the growth rate and feat/level buffs from *love*love* and time spent.
Shit evens out if youre feeding your original pets good food, hell my original little girl is already at 400isb STR 500 END and 2k health at level 80. Even blowing my pre-patch +200 milks on a newly hatched pet plus some genes will result in some 400hp weakling I'll need to baby from level 1 that will die to the first void level 750 sound ball.

Sure you can do fun stuff with the hundreds of feat points of The newly hatched, but the tradeoffs seem really balanced.

sounds like the same problem I've been having for sure. I spent a few hours manipulating the ratios for the pcc image itself in gimp to attempt to fix it but it seems if you use an image that isn't the exact resolution as the examples/given ones in the folder then it messes with scaling somehow. the weirder bit is that the scaling will change when closing and reopening the game and not changing the pcc, as if there's a reference that its taking how large the pcc is supposed to be and auto applying it whereas if I stay on a normal unrelated template then swap to it after loading the game up then it scales it (close) to how I wanted it to be. I know I'm going about it wrong trying to insert the sprite I have as is while not following the template but having to redo everything from scratch again sounds like a pain so I deal with the jank solution for now. I would think a built in UI piece in that menu for direct scaling of sprites would fix everything but I havn't seen anything like this in the settings unless I'm blind

Nah it activates an unlimited amount of times per day so long as your stam is above 50%, but it also drains 50% of your stam every time, so it's not exactly spammable but with smart action use you can have it up almost all the time even against dangerous enemies.

For example, you're facing some tough level 1000+ spiral king in the void or some nefia while at 90% stamina, he pops sound ball for 5k damage on you and you pop fate shield, you're down to 0 health and 40% stamina. If you immediately quafff ramune or coffee after to bring your stam back up to 55% then you're protected again, and you can then heal back up. The AI packages of enemies never spam spells in quick succession so you're not gonna get sound balled twice.

Of course, if he sound balls again and brings your stam down to 5%, you can't do the exact same thing, but if add tactics like teleporting away, loytelmart tickets used on companions for in-battle shoulder naps and arm massages (you don't actually sleep during the shoulder nap when caffinated with sharp mind and get the stam instantly), plus the pheonix revive from jure statue or a pheonix potion, which only pops after you take fatal damage while NOT having fate shield up, and you can have tons of redundancy death shields and survivability.

If you're smart, efficient, and well-resourced with regards to stamina and magic, you can get through really late game progression in eternity oath with arguably better survivability than oathlesskeks
