Shitposting is a core component of imageboard culture. It's the primary reason why anyone posts on an imageboard. Anonymity, knowing your words and your posts aren't going to land you any consequences. You can get away with saying and doing things that you wouldn't be able to do elsewhere because there's no social credit system and moderation is lite. It's discussion mixed with shitposting. There's no other reason to post on imageboards.
Capy is devoid of all shitposting because the moderation there is heavier than it is on plebbit. In fact, it's even worse; even non-shitpost content will get you in trouble. I mean, you can't even make certain jokes over there without getting insta-banned. It's not fun when you have to walk on eggshells with every post you make because moderation is simulating the social credit system of social media. If I wanted to walk on eggshells, I'd be posting on X, plebbit, or wherever else. I mean, I get why a lot of people flocked over there, the image spam and the autistic screeching is mildly annoying at times. But feeling like someone is looking over your shoulder every time you make a post kills the vibe, even if it is just discussing monster waifus. You have to allow for a little shitposting for an imageboard to have a soul, the good kind of shitposting, not the autistic screeching kind. But unfortunately, whoever is moderating capy /mge/ thread over there doesn't know the difference between the good and the bad.
I've tried capy now for a month now, and personally I don't even find it remotely fun. Literally plebbit in imageboard form.
Pic related is how I feel these days. Monster waifu posting has lost its charm.
Certainly I'm not the only one who feels this way, or has just had the general feeling that capy lacks the soul old /mgt/ had?
I'm kinda curious if anyone else is in the same boat.
