That's not necessarily good news despite Manaha's experience as a local TV announcer.

Morning is still the most watched show per live viewers. Someone like Richan will be very missed for sure: despite not being as popular as other casters, she was the most veteran both in time and style and is both solid and reliable. Besides, being a WNI caster is not the same thing as hosting a local news show: Manaha (and Mao) must dramatically improve, and even Momopin and Mayu must keep improving, no one of them has reached Richan's heights.

On the other hand, maybe hiring someone with an existing albeit local fanbase as Manaha was the plan since the beginning.

For me, Moon and Mi-chan go hand in hand. Mi-chan can host other segments, for sure, but her strongest segment is Moon. She was born to host Moon, and her name is confirmation of this.
