i got one lunatic no bomb but it was with the moon stone so it doesnt count
im trying to do it without godmode now and it sucks cause getting through the first half of stage 5 without losing three lives needs you to get lucky
mainly cause of picrel
you're supposed to kill the red gems as soon as they spawn but if you have a shot that can't do that then you're just fucked, so you have to enter it with a hyper and then hope for good pyramid spawns so that you can keep clearing the screen
most of the time you don't get lucky
if it was just that by itself then it wouldnt matter but dying here means you'll probably have 3 power for the midboss and that means you're going to die again and there's nothing you can do about it
also it lasts a long time so good chance you'll even die twice to it
oh and there's a spam section right after it too that'll probably kill you
maybe there's something to be figured out though i haven't looked into it that much
i haven't started spamming credits yet cause there's still one ariya spell i haven't learned

Not sure if this is the best place to say it, but ZUN made Marisa oddly sexy in this game. Her smug grin looks really sultry.

first stage 5 entry in like several hours of trying
got hit after toyohime died and gameovered because zun made it so that the lasers just dont disappear and you have to dodge another wave of them even after beating the boss, okay i guess
i wouldve died anyway so whatever i just wanted to make it to toyohime once for today
most of this games difficulty comes from the stages and the midbosses so im pretty much perpetually in stage 2 and stage 4 jail

at least that one you only die to it once, this thing erases two lives cause both the phases are bullshit
no consistent way to enter this one with a hyper either or at least not one ive figured out anyway

i guess i should probably route to farm more pyramids for extends but i dont wanna sit there timing out ubame every time cause i'll probably reset in stage 2 anyway

the stupid fucking stage 4 midboss took two lives again and i only died twice to the whole game besides it but that was enough to doom me anyway
i think this couldve gone made it to ariya though, i just started drooling on myself at the end of stage 5

i ate shit more so cause my route got messed up cause i started the stage with my gauges too full so i got hit at the start, the actual hard parts didnt even go bad

i broke two hypers on it before dying too idk what happened, it just randomly kills you sometimes even while taking cover like youre supposed to. maybe it has something to do with if youre closer or farther to where the wave of bullets spawn
