Well those sound indeed like some interesting mechanics, sadly it's only for switch.

It seems as if someone picked a game engine like Unity that's mainly 3D, put all the sprites over a flat surface/sprite and for some reason tilted them instead of putting them facing the camera directly like the portraits.
If the devs really wanted some 3D-like effect they could also just have made every individual sprite to be flipped in a different angle than the ground/background...
Either way seems like an easy fix, whenever they want to flip all item sprites or just make it all face the camera, it shouldn't be much work and I think they would sell way better.

Mayber I'll also try this one when I feel like playing a farming game, it should be (relatively) simple considering GBA limitations.
I think that complexity is a bit of a problem with Stardew Valley, as in if someone who hasn't played any Harvest Moon/Rune Factory might feel a bit lost or overwhelmed.

Haven't played it but it sometimes feels like "X game but Touhou" sometimes assume you've played a game of those before.
Although sometimes it's fun figuring out stuff (well depends a lot on the game and individual I guess)
