- Maint on Sept. 26 saw the return of the Pumpkin Festival mini-event. +48 equip slots and multiple rare equipment can be obtained from quests and exchanging pumpkins.
- 8 Limited quests have been added for the event. 6 one-time quests and 1 weekly sortie and 1 weekly factory quest. Certain one-time quests need to be completed before weekly quests are available.
- As part of the seasonal update, multiple new Halloween and Autumn CGs have been added.
- Multiple new limited drops have been added. See https://en.kancollewiki.net/Drop_List#Limited_Time_Drops for more info.
- July ranking rewards have been distributed and feature only returning equipment. They are the Do 217 K-2 + Fritz-X, RUR-4A Weapon Alpha Kai, SJ Radar + Submarine Conning Tower Equipment, and Reppuu Kai 2 Model E.
- A VPN/Proxy is no longer required to log into the game. You will still need one if you access the game via DMM.
- As of mid October 2023 The terms and conditions for the DMM games platform have changed. After 1 year of inactivity games on the platform will have the right to delete your account information if they wish to. Put simply IF YOU GO ONE YEAR WITHOUT LOGGING INTO SHIPTHIS YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SEE YOUR SHIPS EVER AGAIN.

DD daytime firepower doesn't matter. Any regular map can be easily beat by equipping them with duck guns, events are where you need different equipment.
DDs are for AA, ASW, and night damage. A couple points of FP won't increase night damage nearly as much as switching to using a cut in.

If you're new, you need 4 slot destroyers, so just keep her and do quests to unlock rewards and other drops, including the guns that get bonus damage on the strong destroyers. Like the other post said, those guns won't matter much, and the high armor bosses get torpedoes.

Double attack is kills almost anything on regular maps and has 99% reliability. Even in events it can be useful for chipping or if the historical bonus is high enough. Still not worth upgrading guns for damage though.

Figure out what you're likely to use on hard bosses (old zekamashi event comps are full of examples) and upgrade that to levels you can afford. Battleship guns are often +1 candidates, and the best seaplane fighters can increase your maximum possible air power when maxed. 12cm30 kai ni rockets are also good upgrade targets.

these pumpkin quests were designed to be as frustrating as possible. I have to waste tons of development materials each week to craft dive bombers and then the rewards have development materials and bauxite as things you pass over for the pumpkins. to make it worse at some point I'm going to have to build 12 more dive bombers because the ones for the weekly quest don't count as being scrapped for the one time quest.

Is there a point to leveling Kaiboukan to Kai before using them for modernization fodder?

Not Kai specifically, but the chance of getting bonus HP when using them for modernization is theorized to be 26+(0.35*the sum of both kaibokan's levels)%

Of course they drop frequently enough at this point it's probably faster to farm more onaholes to roll the ~1/4 chance than to level them,

It got released, but I'm not sure you can fairly say it was ever alive. So many parts of the game didn't work properly (if they even worked at all) and there didn't seem to be any thought put into gameplay variety. Imagine KC with no class-based routing or anti-installation, every ship can attack subs, and a single CV is enough to guarantee AS+ at every node.

The plane has barely any anti air resistance so it is not really used that often. It also can be obtained from upgrading Suisei 12A you really want to complete the equipdex.

Finally, there are enough Catapults you can obtain from current quests for the more important ships needing it for their remodels.
Quests are B152, B154, F21, F23, F85 and BY10 (also B177 if you don't need the Prototype Type 97). That's 6-7 Catapults, which are enough for Akagi, Kaga, Ise, Hyuuga, and then some leftovers for either Shoukaku, Zuikaku, Saratoga or Ryuuhou.
Just skip the benchwarmers until you get extra catapults over time as remodeling those ships is mostly for kandaidex purpose alone: (Houshou, Taiyou, Shinyou, Unyou, Gambier Bay are really not that great, and I'd argue Gotland Andra is too gimmicky to even bother spending a catapult on her).

So how exactly does this works? It's my first time doing this, I've rolled a few times these past days and I got stuff like 15DMM points(just once) and multiple 5 points and a lot of tickets for that chance to get the 500points.
Also I noticed very late but there is a limit to how many winners are there aint it in a day? no wonder I only get 4th and 5th place I always roll very late in the day.
