Modern Mahjong Eternal Summer Festival is/was this weekend! One of the last giant pool events on the calendar, they were indoors at Tokyo Summerland though.

Super important development is that Kani-chan made her poolside debut! This is the first "gravure" photo session she's been part of, so I was naturally eager for photos...
And that's the bad news, her agency wants photographers to confirm via a form before they post anything (and one guy was complaining that they'll charge a fee if it's a lot of photos??). Stupid agency, just let us see more of the Crab!

Not that there's ZERO photos released so far, Airi herself posted one and these are from the Gakuin Kinma official account... And I found one from a photographer, although I don't think he had posting permission for it (I saved it anyway).

This is the one she posted. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the simple bikini, though the Malymoon suits her nicely. I think there was a third outfit planned, but no evidence of it yet! Hopefully she posts a YouTube video of the shooting.

Still no Kani-chan updates. What the FUCK is her agency doing? Prime opportunity to gain more fans if one of her photos blows up... Kinma is a huge event on the grav-wota calendar, and she was one of the most popular Miss Magazine contestants (despite getting screwed) so people would be scrolling the event hashtag and just looking at all of the talent that was there because the rosters are so large (ie new fans). I am aware of the fact that many idols require you to obtain publishing permission for photos.
But you said it yourself, typically the photographer DMs or uses a business email to get rheir photos approved.
No agency, truly, is asking photographers to upload them individually on a separate form that limits them to 10, and then asks them to PAY MORE MONEY if they want to get more approved. These guys already spend 10,000 yen plus to even get a ticket to the photo session. No agency is asking to be paid directly by them for SNS posts, besides apparently DiannaPro.
You people are stupid if you think it's even equivalent. The proof is in the fucking pudding, search up ANY talent that was at Kinma that isn't Kani Airi, and there will be scores of photos of them, whether they were allowing free posting or asking to approve them (since you likely aren't aware, as you don't pay attention, these usually include a disclaimer in the post stating permission was properly obtained). All of them, dozens to hundreds of photos, within a day of the end of the shoot.
Then search for Airi and realize nobody has posted anything. Now why do you think that is? Is it because her agency is being more obtuse than is standard in asking for a long form to be filled out? Is it because the agency wants money for posting more than 10 images? Surely, if this wasn't a burden, photographers would still try and get the approval to post the photos they liked. Clearly, they feel it isn't worth their time, and like I've shared, several tweeted about feeling insulted at being asked for more money.
