Parking bombers in the open 24/7 was never part of New Start. This idea is pure Russian cope/misinformation.

New START Treaty
Article X, Section 2:

>2. The obligation not to use concealment measures includes the obligation not to use them at test ranges, including measures that result in the concealment of ICBMs, SLBMs, ICBM launchers, or the association between ICBMs or SLBMs and their launchers during testing. The obligation not to use concealment measures shall not apply to cover or concealment practices at ICBM bases or to the use of environmental shelters for strategic offensive arms.

>b-but Michael Flynn said...

Michael Flynn is a Russian asset. He plead guilty to lying about it. He'd be in prison if Trump's idea of "owning the libs" didn't include subverting U.S. national security to troll US citizens with bachelors degrees.

The Russians were just being incompetent poors, per usual.

They didn't have hangers because they're poor but there were also rules for visibility. Until recently nuclear capable craft were supposed to be kept out in the open whenever possible so that the opposite side could verify from space that you weren't exceeding the maximum amount bombers.

This is also why some deactivated nuclear bombers on display outdoors have parts of their wings/empennage removed

The New START treaty specifically forbids interference with satellite surveillance. But it's all irrelevant, since Russia left the treaty years ago.

>The treaty permits the use of national technical means of verification (e.g. satellites) in a manner consistent with international law, and contains explicit provisions that prohibit interference with NTM and the use of concealment measures that may impede monitoring by NTM.

"National technical means" is inclusive of more than just satint, especially by the time of New START. That says nothing that hangers are not a full impediment to SATINT. This says nothing that hangers could be used for something more than monitoring impediment. This says nothing for hangers that could be constructed in such a way as to not interfere. This says nothing that Russia was already using hangers. This says nothing for Russia having willfully withdrawn from the treaty several years ago.

What say you? Or is the only thing you have the ability to ctrl+f on the "key phrase" your handlers gave you and no actual understanding of the underlying ideas?

Other than the B-2s, which required climate-controlled hangars to reduce maintenance costs for their first-gen RAM, there simply aren't enough hangars at any airbase in the US to hide the fleet from drones; the only options would be to quickly build a bunch, or to disperse the fleet to civilian fields in order to use commercial/private hangars.

>Fuck off back home, still have a quarter tank of gas when you land
>Need another fire mission? Cool. The second bomber in the wing took off a couple hours ago, they can deal with it
>grab a sammitch, naptime

Also a wing of bombers that really needs to get extrovert can deliver those missiles *vastly* more cheaply, and the attack will be much easier to organize than trying to coordinate anywhere NEAR their throw weight in multirole aircraft strike packages. Launching/stacking up multiple squadrons for each strike package is a huge pain in the cock, they place a much heavier load on AWACS, and it's not like using the fighters will save any money or effort on SEAD either.

They are climate shelters because the coating on B-2 bombers are sensitive.
They didn't have enough of them for how many B-2s they brought to Guam.

>nuclear capable craft were supposed to be kept out in the open whenever possible so that the opposite side could verify from space that you weren't exceeding the maximum amount bombers.
False. Even if it were true, Russia suspended its START participation in Feb 2023 - they've had over two years to build shelters for aircraft and failed to.

it was already dead the russians withdrew from it. Are you a propagandist for teh kremlin here to lie?

Why do you think that Ukraine is an equivalent to the kremlin lie machine that has been spewing disnformation for 70 years? You're very interested in whatabouting in such a way as to attack Ukraine as well. I suppose you are one of the kremlin ' glavset' propagandists who posts on this site. You'll probably be dead soon, so whatabout that?

The US does ukies support and aid after taking away the nukes. If you want to avoid a nuclear war in the future, you have to have russia publicly lose this war, since otherwise you'll see an unprecedented level of proliferation and Iran/DPRK issues will seem quaint in comparison.
