The Russians didn't really use the SKS that much because they went right into the AK-47. Most of them are Chinese and Yugoslavian from what I can tell.

i mean really, for the fucking prices i see you could just make an m4gery and slap a super safety on it as your first gun and have far more fun with it than you would with an sks
though that being said, the biggest redeeming part of an sks is how ridiculous it is in full auto considering how simple of a gun it is
