10/22. The answer is always 10/22.

None can match the 10/22.
Even in high budget, you always return to the 10/22

I only heard good from it. Unlike the hamerli tac r1 or s&w mp15-22.
Never held one but good reputation.

10/22. I'd rather have a tube mag, but I don't think they make any tube mag semi autos that are as high in quality as a 10/22 anymore since marlin went under and ruger owns them and doesn't seem like they want to make a competitor to their main gun.
the 10/22 also uses rotary mags which solved the rim jam issue. literally the only bad part about a 10/22 is that all semi autos in general will be more ammo finicky than manual actions which is sometimes and issue for .22 rimfire

many have tippmans in my club, looks like its allright. AR controls if thats important for you. Their magazines seem to be significantly more reliable than BX-25 for 10/22 that Ive tuned and cleaned and polished and they still jam constantly regardless of ammo

Not OP - how good is Rossi RS22 (cbc 7022)? Its almost 60% of 10/22 price here. Is it ok for training/shooting gongs?

those are sold as mossberg 702 and 715
its a massive pos made as cheaply as possible while still being able to function most of the time. its build quality is garbage.

10/22. I own more than one and one is a re-import (US anon). I still think I want to buy 3-4 more just to put together into fun configurations. Great gun.

CBC? Those are made in Brasil IIRC. They, at one time, had the old manufacturing lines for the Nylon 66 they bought from Remington. Never owned a CBC though, and especially haven't played with a newer CBC (ie. made past 2000-2010).

Thanks for the replies, will probably get both.
there is also an used Sig Sauer 522 Target for around 800$, is it worth it?
