For last year and a half Ukraine run site for Russian families to report missing family members. 100324 requests were made, of those 2400 were confirmed to be PoWs, half of which were exchanged, further 134 confirmed dead

As one would expect Moscow and pidorburg have lowest amount of MIA/100k inhabitants. Interesting that while regions with highest Mediazona confirmed KIA numbers are quite high in MIA but some regions like Zabajkalksy kraj that has insane 150 per 100k missing population is quite low in confirmed KIA

What Strelkov talked about(genocide of Donbabwean units and repopulation with Russians) can be seen in reporting of known units. Donetsk units are leaders of MIA count probably because Donbabwean commanders hate Russians and just send them into suicide missions

Out of known locations where soldiers disappeared quite interesting is Kursk, with 5000 MIA, considering how many Norks died there it’s quite an achievement how many men Russia managed to lose

Nearly all Russian MIA will fall within nomans land or Russian gains, only a fraction will be captured or corpses taken.
These people will never find out what happens to their loved ones, because it's against the Russian states interests to find them.
