>An M2A2 ODS-SA captured and modified by the Russians equipped with a 2A72 30x165mm replacing the M242 25x137mm Bushmaster. The 2A72 equips vehicles such as the BMP-3 and BMD-4 IFVs and the BTR-82A APC at the russian army.

Looks like they are just that desperate for ANYTHING that is armored, somewhat mine-resistant and capable of transporting troops. Firepower and accuracy are secondary concerns. All that matters is that it can drive over rough terrain and even has the advantage of not having its entire crew die when it gets popped.

Wouldn't those be better used as technology examples instead of in combat? Surely China or North Korea would want them to disassemble and examine.

Instead of mutilating M2s and Abrams why not send them to a fate worse than death for Western armor: A garage outside Pyongyang full of Norks with slide rulers, micrometers, angle grinders and cutting torches.

Are you actually claiming some magic super technology that renders examining captured vehicles useless? The USSR figured out the alloy to make jet turbines with magnetic shoes picking up shavings from a factory floor, you have no idea what could be useful. It might be as simple as noting that the fire suppression system uses a commercially available sensor or something equally mundane.

If you honestly think that the USA has the technology to make something 100% immune to having it's technology stolen then you are worse than the most ignorant potato brained double vatnik to ever live.

Nta but Soviet engineers went to Boeing for a trip to be shown off the wonders of the West. Obviously they couldn't take pictures or do anything but look, but every single one of them instead had a chemical applied to their shoes which caused them to become magnetic. As they walked around the Boeing factory their shoes picked up the shavings. When they got back to USSR they scraped the shavings off and worked out what the alloy was made of. Ta-da.

>Ammo blow out panels intact

I'm going to point out what that anon wouldn't for some reason, which is that the Bradly is 80s technology. China can make everything in a Bradly just fine, they just don't have the capability to produce an equivalent enmasse at an affordable level.
And before some anon comes scoffing along to insist that anything Westerners can make, China can make better, I will merely point out that china couldn't make ball bearings at an acceptable level until like 2 years ago.

Way to move goalpost nigger. I'm saying that just because it looks in working condition on the outside it is 0 guarantee the inside is in working condition. Knowing how Vatniggers have been of bad faith in the past I will not assume it is working unless I see proof.

Bushmaster makes the only proper chain guns of the 25mm and 30mm caliber. Even if you compare the M242 to true autocannons, Oerlikon guns are the only viable contender and they aren't meaningfully different in function other than that the former is a chain gun and the latter is an autocannon.

There is nothing on these A2 ODS Bradleys that is particularly intriguing or noteworthy in terms of technology. At absolute best the FBCB2 software might be useful to copy for battlefield management, but North Korea and China both have thousands of programmers that could build them something similar without needing an example to look at. TOW missiles are honestly very old tech, it's a basic wire guided missile. MAYBE if they're top attack TOWs, but I haven't seen those a whole lot in Ukraine, they seem to mainly use the regular TOW 2. The 25mm is using M791 APDS, which is a 1980s era projectile, nothing special there. The fire suppression system is a typical Halon one, similar to what the T-72 has. There are no blowout panels, the armor isn't even composite, just basic spaced arrays etc. The Bradley is genuinely a relatively outdated IFV that is already 10 years past the date when it should have been replaced, it has simply performed this well in the war because the BMP-1 and BMP-2 are shitty as fuck in comparison. The BMP-3 is fairly comparable other than being under armored and the 30mm being terrible for anti vehicle work

The problem for russia is not reverse engineering, their design bureaus are not entirely retarded and know how things work, in fact some of their prototypes may even have their own merits.
The problem is manufacturing, they know how stealth works and they can build a working Su57 stealth plane or Armata tank, but when their economy is so corrupt and dependent on externally sourced parts supplied by the west like microchips it's impossible to get to serialized production to supply an entire army.
They planned to have thousends of armata tanks and instead in ukraine they're fighting with refurbished T62s with ERA panels emptied of their explosives, this should tell you what is fiction and what is reality.
