IDF F16-Sufa rearming to fight drones
appears to run 2x AIM120, 2x Python and drop tanks

All that fuel and 4 missiles. It must be hunting drones over Baghdad.

they take full fuel loads even when flying over gaza. the goal is to give the plane a lot of time in the air since they dont know exactly when and where they will come from. just like when over gaza theyre just flying in circles with bombs on waiting for someone to ask for them.

the alternative is constantly landing and refueling them much more frequently which means less planes in the air at a given time

Even their attack heli's rock extra fuel tanks right?

CAS heli
the goal is the same you want to stay in the air for as long as possible to cover friendlies so extra fuel makes sense.

idf prefer air time over the aircraft not being sluggish to fly

sucks for them I guess, would be significantly more cost effective and they'd be able to carry a fuck ton

>The five waves of attacks that the Air Force has carried out so far in Iran:

>1. The opening strike - senior Iranian regime officials
>2. Senior nuclear scientists
>3. Attack on the Natanz nuclear facility and surface-to-air missile systems in Tehran
>4. Wave of attacks in western Iran on surface-to-air missiles and ballistic missiles
>5. Another wave of attacks in western Iran - surface-to-air missiles and ballistic missiles

also if they had these they would be less likely to need to rely on USAF during a massive drone attack, which would be nice

Oh you chuckelnuts told me the kike can't do air refueling, and had to rely on the US for that.

The whole point of this is to stop the nuclear weapons, right? So why are they striking Tehran, just for C&C chaos?

It's a sliding scale. Imagine dealing with a dog shit problem. You don't want dog shit in your yard. If you "attack" the shit, the dogs are still there to simply make more shit. If you kill every dog you can find, your yard will be shit free but you'll have to listen to crybabies bitch at you eternally about the dinpu ruffins. So you attack the shit and the dogs that are shitting. The best solution is off the table, so you go with the second best option.

Right, but how important are these high ranking officials and scientists to the project at the "finishing touches" stage?

Eh, it's institutional knowledge gone still and causes chaos in the system. And I wouldn't put it past Bibi & Mossad to just kill them out of spite and just to show they can.

I guess there's no reason not to hit Tehran targets, given that you're fully escalating. But I just assumed every project critical person is already in the reinforced labs under literal mountains.

So I've seen a lot of talk about those deep underground facilities that would be impervious air attack. Assuming you wanted to put guys on the ground to go in and assault the critical infrastructure of that place, how many men do you reckon you would need to pull it off?

It seems like the initial strikes took out central C2 and left their air defense useless. Same problem as Iraq in the gulf war, too centralized.

Even if the mountain bases are impenetrable, can they be spawn camped? Like can Iran assemble the whole ass missile and launcher in secure locations, or do they have to truck something around at some point?

Just one ultra SEAL. We recently had a thread on this topic but with a focus on capturing foreign destroyers. If an ultra SEAL isn't available then it would take 2 to 3 regular SEALs.

Its a reliably exploitable weakness of non democratic regimes, centralising power means centralising command and control by default
