>>63825488It's not about being "cordial," it's about doing as much as can be done to *not* drive the energy and material powerhouse into the arms of the manufacturing powerhouse, both of whom have vested interests in fucking with the US/West for varying reasons, but also have very real baggage between each other that *ought* to act as friction to any such partnership.
There's also the matter of doing whatever can be done to create complicating factors to any prospective "alliances" between two nations that, combined, have *a lot* of nukes. It'd be really fucking bad and annoying if they were driven into any kind of mutual-nooking "alliance" in spite of their differences.
The whole idea that Trump is cozy with Russia crumbles when you understand that US policy is clearly rather hostile to the two other powers (China - and by extension Best Korea - as well as Iran) Russia would require to have even a shadow's chance in hell at reconstituting their forces after the assblasting they've had over the last 3 years.
Shit's been *WILDLY* complicated by the gameplan Western Leadership was running with from 2021 to January of this year, that much is beyond argument IMO. That doesn't magically mean this admin is the panacea, the ultimate cure we've been waiting for.
It just means the guys before *really* kind of made a mess of things.
