Israel is now publicly stating they can't attack the hardened enrichment facilities without these munitions, and it looks like unless they've got tricks up their sleeve, their strategy involves publicly pressuring the US into striking them, which potentially makes the US a target of Iranian retaliation, possibly even retaliatory terrorism.
It seems like all they've done is give the regime a heads up to assemble a device as quickly as possible, or even just smuggle fissile material out.

Possibly Israel still hopes the U.S. will strike at the nuke sites at the very least, which it may still do. The U.S. military is out of the war game for the foreseeable future, but if it’s just light bombing they can still do that. Clearly, Israel wants to get that one nuclear enrichment centrifuge bunker that's under a mountain. Inspectors have said it took forever to get to the centrifuge because they had to walk down a lot of stairs. Israel could just bomb the entrances to the bunker, but the centrifuge would still be down there, waiting for Iran to dig it out later.

So the question would be, does the US gain anything from getting involved, just to destroy this one thing? What's the benefit and what's the loss? I think the benefit is that Iran gets set back from the nuclear bomb by like 4 more years (on top of the current setbacks). The loss could be a few things. Iran could shut down the red sea, they could bomb Saudi Arabia, and they could sponsor some more terrorist activities that target the US.

I think it could go either way.
