Why is it that there is such a wild divergence in narratives between this board and pol
Right now pol is convinced Iran is destroying Israel, which to the best of my research is divorced from reality

Because /pol/ was increasingly subverted by unironic TD refugees and later on by all manner of brownoids.
I've been on this godforsaken site since 06 and saw /pol/ in all of its incarnations. Member subutai, member the E-Mail IRC, member the pol-news shit and so on and so forth.
It was never as bad as it is now. /pol/ is a broken cesspool of literal brownoid contrarians. The only somewhat enjoyable parts are the Trump Generals and some of the cynical memes that come from chug.

tl;dr:
Brown contrarian hands type on /pol/.

Mind you, /k/ got fucked by all sorts of refugees too. The simple fact that "post guns" is increasingly falling to the wayside should be a major fucking red flag.
But at least most of them aren't brown.
