That's a good argument, although I think it has less to do with Bibi wanting to stay in power (although sure, I'll grant that it's a factor) than the fact that Iran cannot prevent Israel from doing this now, because Hezbollah has been destroyed, and Iran's lifeline to them via Syria has also been cut off.
