Germany has committed to spending 5% of GDP on defence. Given that Germany has the third largest economy in the world, has an extremely capable industrial base, spends nothing on nukes and has not much need for a navy, what will the German army and air force loo like in ten years time?

I do see a similar sentiment in Germany, but it's much, much stronger among the heavily online people I know. The gaming and anime friends are all doom and gloom and complaining about immigration, woke, etc. while guys from work or from tennis are much more positive in general, pro-Europe/Ukraine and mostly just care about normal live: House building, local events, whatever. And those two groups are the same income, age and gender.
