Kinda like Duke Nukem. Pic related but with a three round tube and matching length barrel. Also either a Mossberg or Remington instead of a Winchester, because we live in a gay world where Winchester doesn't make the 1300 anymore and there's no 'Shockwave' version of it.

Also, everyone would obviously put proper stocks on all their AR-15 and AK pistols.

I've always wanted a sawed off SxS, so I'll buy a cheap one and do that. Might buy another barrel for my Auto 5 and saw that for a whippet gun. Gonna put real stocks on my brace ARs. Once they make SAAs with a removable stock available, probably buy one.

Well, that too, but I meant a shotgun with a pistolgrip and then a forward pistol grip.
I think one of the things we'd see is a revival of pistol stocks like these, both just simple ones which attach to suitable pistols could allow it, and then also further exploration of the holster stock concept.

Holster stocks were never gonna be this big universal thing everyone does, but it's that kind of thing which is gonna fit SOME people's use cases really well. Thinks someone who carries a 10mm Glock for bear defense, well, now he can have a holster for it which, if really needed, could be used as a stock as well.
Stocked pistols would be really good backpack guns and what not.

Can you imagine how many videogame kids could've been brought into the fold, only to get turned off when they realize they can't buy that "M4" they always wanted unless they get the goofy 16in barrel (I can't be the only one that thought 16 inch AR barrels with the 203 on rifles meant to be as close to "M4" spec looked silly).

Pistol braces will remain superior to stocks for awhile for the simple fact that a huge number of states have banned SBRS even "Free" states have bans on sbrs "unless registered with the feds" so if this law goes through you will be fucked. Its gonna be a shitshow to get them all fixed.

I can still travel with my AR pistol in states that have banned sbrs, but I cant take a newly legal sbr.

So pistol braces will still have uses, especially in places like cali and maryland.

Shockwave style shotguns depend on their birds head grips to bring them up to their 26" overall length. If you want to put a regular pistolgrip on one, you need an extension on the muzzle, or something else to keep the overall length 26" or more.
If the law changes, then lengths and stuff stops mattering and your shotgun can be whatever length and with whatever grips or stocks, but that's not the case yet.

>>63863006
Because I wasn't talking about the Super Shorty at all, that's a different shotgun entirely. I mean Shockwave and similar shotguns, just slapping a pair of these or similar on those.
Now, some people would then use those kinds of shotguns to build stuff like the Serbu too, but that's a more involved process than just swapping some grips.

That's gonna go for a lot of this stuff. For instance, some people built their PPS-43 parts kits as rifles with a little extensions on the muzzlebrake or just longer barrels, so they could have the stock, but now they could fix them to proper length.
Add to this being able to put real stocks on all the AR15 pistols and AK pistols, and also proper grips and stocks on MP5 pistols. It would solve many of these problems.

It would also allow for a much better .410 Bore revolver. Skip the whole .45 Colt pretense, and make it with a proper .410 Bore chamber, and a smooth .410 caliber bore like God intended, one which can have chokes. You'll see a good improvement in velocities and shot patterns.
Would this 'fix' the .410 revolvers and make guns like the Judge 'viable'? Eh, I don't know, still wouldn't be my choice for defense, but it would make them objectively better.

That would be difficult to make a viable product, the C96 is an expensive gun to make, and they would be competing with their old production already circulating the world market.

At the very best, they could tool up to make some replacement parts for the old guns, but that's still not likely to be a financially viable venture, and knowing how they tried to start making and selling new Luger pistols back in the 1970s, only to have that completely fall on its face, I would say they are particularly wary about such projects, and particularly unlikely to try them again.

The B-TM standard stock has about 9 1/8" past the front of the receiver. 8 1/4" without the barrel band nub. And that's not counting the barrel length inside the receiver. You'd need to buy the bull barrel model and/or cut the forend down pretty far for that, anon.

I was going to get an mpa 30t mac10 clone, put a light, a compensator, a holo sight, and a carry handle for the complete cyberpunk aesthetic and open carry it. Now I can open carry with a stock that matches it.

Once these bills pass, I hope automatics get put up for review. The ruling on them was based on common use, and they had been heavily regulated since the early 1900s which made them less common since it was 4k in old money(rounded up in today's dosh for inflation), and before they weren't regulated at all. Hopefully the same logic will be applied in the short act and suppressor fight, in the sense that firearms or parts are regulated which is seen as infringement.

2. If you're open to chopping the forend to make room for a suppressor, https://libertycans.net/product/idf-10-22-integrally-suppressed-barrel/ the stud for the folding stock is right in front of the receiver, so it should be g2g

>Does FN not sell the shorter P90 barrel as an unregulated gun part?
They don't, unfortunately. CMMG makes the P90 barrel that everyone uses for for PS90 SBR conversions. It works fine, but it's not hammer forged or chrome lined anymore (real FN barrels are both).
There's also some problems with CMMG outsourcing production of P90 muzzle devices (which actually hold the barrel into the gun on the P90), which has made mounting some suppressors tricky. If FN would just sell these parts, making a proper-sized P90 would be a much smoother, simpler process.

Bill Ruger was their fudd heart, which is why Ruger used to refuse to sell anything but 5rd mags for Mini-14s to civilians, and shit like that. Thankfully, he died over 20 years ago, and they quickly got to work on selling magazines of all capacities to everyone.

Not that he didn't have some good ideas too, and some business sense (he's behind a lot of their old successes), but goddamn, he was the king of fudds.

Any gun that you want that's "already around as a pistol" would be around as a rifle or readily convertible into one with no additional paperwork. SHORT is a game-changer for the PCC market. Your Mare's leg now has a stock. Your MP5SD is now a zero-stamp gun. It raises the debt ceiling by a shitload, but that's not the same as adding to the deficit, and even if it contained $5T of spending (it doesn'tโ€”it contains more mandatory spending cuts than any bill in US history) going into debt to finish the wall and deport 60 million illegals would pay for itself by the time Vance was running for President.
Look, the bill has some debatable stuff in it, but that's just how sausage is made, and the alternative is doing it piecemeal and needing 60 votes in the Senate (i.e., begging Schumer for enthusiastic consent to implement the agenda we all voted forโ€”not gonna happen) instead of 50 like the Big Beautiful Bill needs.

reply by the atf clarifying
>This is in reference to your email (below) in which you inquire about the legality of affixing an original or reproduction shoulder stock to a Luger P08 semiautomatic pistol. Your email was forwarded to the Firearms Technology Branch (FTB) for reply.

A rifle having a barrel of less than 16 inches in length is a firearm as that term is defined in Title 26, United States Code (U.S.C.), Chapter 53, ยง 5845(a)(3),
However, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) has previously determined that by reason of the date of their manufacture, value, design, and other characteristics, the following when possessed with an attachable shoulder stock, are primarily collectorโ€™s items and are not likely to be used as weapons, and, therefore, are excluded from the provisions of the NFA:

Luger,P08 semiautomatic pistol accompanied by original German mfd. detachable wooden holster/shoulder stocks, all semiautomatic German mfd. variations produced prior to 1940, any caliber.

Further, ATF has determined that such firearms are curios or relics as defined in Title 26, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 178, ยง 178.11 and, therefore, would still be subject to the Gun Control Act of 1968.

ATF has previously determined that Luger model p08/ LP08 pistols with reproduction stocks, which duplicate or closely approximate the originals, have also been removed from the provisions of the NFA. Copies of the Mauser pistol using frames of recent manufacture, with shoulder stocks, are still subject to the NFA.

If an individual possesses a pistol and shoulder stock combination that has not been removed from the provisions of the NFA, the combination would constitute a firearm subject to the provisions of the NFA. The fact that the stock was not attached to the pistol would have no bearing on this classification

Oh shit, really? So as long as it's some soldier's combat trophy or a surplus piece, a Luger is allowed to have a stock (original/repro) with no paperwork, just like a Mauser? Did not know that.
Wait, does this pertain strictly to German issued P08s, or does it apply to any and all military issued Luger pistols? If the former, would it apply only to German ones, or would it still apply to pistols in other countries which adopted the same P08 pattern, like the Finnish did?

I have my reservations towards the BBB as a whole. The part where there's to be no commercial regulations of AI industry for 10 years for instance, I think that's probably a bad idea.

Aside from general societal reasons, I think there needs to be certain rules regarding commerce and intellectual property. This technology is changing a lot of things, some for the better, some for the worse, and I think that it's probably possible to try to control some of the damage, but without kneecapping technological progress.

Most are in major cities like LA which is 50% beaner at this point, probably higher when you see what the government considers white sometimes. There's also a ton of illegals spread all throughout the country to the point they crop up in small rural Midwest towns. It's gonna be more than 60mil illegals if you count their anchor babies as illegal like they should be. Imagine how much cheaper and more available housing and land would be if they were all to be deported. Imagine how much less traffic there would be on the roads.

For me it's really more about the job situation, the constant flow of fresh immigrants who don't really understand the value of a dollar and are willing to live in shit poverty in the US because it's still better than the place they came from are the reason all these corporations can get away with paying lower and lower wages and treating their employees like shit, plus it denies young people in immigrant-heavy areas the chance to have their own income and build a resume. That's not as much of an issue after a few generations because they're not willing to put up with those conditions anymore and so it doesn't affect white collar or skilled trades the way it does entry-level and "unskilled" stuff. There's also the drain on education, healthcare, welfare, etc. too.

I donโ€™t have the Shockwave but I do have the Persuader.
When I got it, it was a โ€œJICโ€ that had the traditional pistol grip so it could fit in the tube. I replaced it with the birdโ€™s head and found that it was really an improvement.

Oh, I doubt that unless we get SHORT. ShopRuger doesn't even sell mini barrels. And no mini pistols. I don't see a reason why they wouldn't if we get SHORT though. Ditto 10/22 SBRs.

it won't, as the NFA is a tax. The power of Congress to levy taxes is neigh absolute, and trumps the second amendment, so sayeth the Supreme Court, multiple times.

Hell yeah. There are so many guns that the NFA, even in its basically nominal current state, makes completely impractical by legal encumberment.

I dont think a lot will immediately start shortening the barrels. but considering that a lot are sold as pistols, it would be more likely that they start selling them with proper stocks instead of going through he hassle of extending barrel lengths

also a lot of manufactures have simply decided to not sell in the US due to SBR regs, so no doubt some of these will enter the market

That doesn't sound ideal, but I think that a random stray round of different ammo would be difficult to get a jury to convict you over.
Only one mag really isn't great, but it gives more reason to invest in a full-sized pistol with an extended magazine (be that a full +30rds stick, or just a slight stendo at 20-25rds).

Kagan, Sotaymor both said in official rulings that ARs are in common use and a NJ judge when confronted with an AWB case said the pro gun side proved ARs are in common use but they didn't do the analysis for any other gun so he ruled that only ARs were exempt from the AWB (but not the features test)
so I don't think dems can really go after semi autos if 2 of the dem scotus judges straight up admit ARs are in common use

apparently with .22 cb or whatever the really short, weak ones are theoretically all the powder has completely burnt and by just simply having a long enough barrel, itll be silenced and have no flash. smooth bore for the inevitable squibs, and i wanted to use it as a...test platform, more then a real gun. testing making different types of bullets, out of different materials, and then firing it effectively completely "silent" in my backyard.
there were some actual .22 rifles with barrels that long, but its pretty much all "i heard this person said that person knew a guy who did this and overheard". so its probably all totally horse shit and a 36 inch .22 barrel isnt that quite at all. dunno.

They've tried at least 2 times in modern history to jack up the NFA taxes.

This passes and suppressors, AOW, SBR and SBS ending up back on the NFA in 5 years then it whatever law does it will get slapped down immediately by the judicial via common use

Anon, I have an old gill gun w/ locking bolt with a ~26" barrel and I run CCI 1k or 710 subsonics and it's quiet, like hearing safe-ish (no ringing) but not super quiet. An extra 10" might get you signifigant volume reduction but silent? Eh, I don't know, not to mention you'd be limited to something like CCI 710s to help with volune reduction meaning pulling bullets and loading at similar bullet weight. Also MDT did a 40-some inch barrel with a known ammo and it shot about 1k with an audible shot (not sure what SK runs normally; you can see the box on the table). Their full barrel was not near quiet but 710s might've done different. This is the one time 710s or especially Colibris might squib lol. Also, impacts are STUPID loud on many materials.

silent as far as a gun goes, and yeah i know the impact will end up being louder if all goes well. and yeah, im expecting to have to visually inspect the barrel between every single shot, so the action almost virtually doesnt matter. whatevers the easiest action.

its just for fun, anyways. would be funny to put a fake suppressor shroud over the TOP of the super long barrel, so it "looks" like its a 6 inch barrel, but its a 36 inch barrel instead?
