Idk, but I keep seeing things that claim Iran has zero air defenses and simultaneously Israel is using standoff weapons. Unless there is some other reason for Israel to be using drones and missiles relating to cost or airframe hours or whatever.

One of the things israel has in common with first-world countries is that they're allergic to casualties, they love long-range low investment strikes. Iran has no real capability to foil israeli strikes but israel also doesn't want to lose pilots to some iranian with a strela while they're trying to wild weasel AA positions

Much of what they're using now is glide/guided bombs (SDB,SPICE) that have pretty high ranges when dropped from ~40k feet while still being cheap.

There's also straight up JDAMs being dropped and that's got less than a 20nm range at altitude. There's also some videos of Heron 450/900 MALE drones flying right over Tehran, and those are sitting ducks for even medium range air defenses.

Appears to be air supremacy over a part of the country including Tehran, but they don’t seem to keep it up 24/7. Every day the sorties go out, do whatever they want, then go back. Iran can’t seem to put up any meaningful resistance to wherever the IAF can reach. It’s not so much that the IAF crushed the defenses, but it’s that there wasn’t much defenses to begin with.
