For a less meme-y answer, they'd probably do something like what Pakistan and China did with the JF-17 where they do a JV with a European or Asian country that wants stealth fighters but has let their industrial base atrophy too much. India fronts the factories and roughly half the capital, the other half and R&D is handled by the outside party.

yes? those planes are like 50-90 millions a pieces plus maintenance. Pakis got hit too but most of it was structural damage compared to indians who lost a 3-4 planes which also include a rafale
