>A dozen chinese reusable rockets are going to make their maiden flight soon
>Probably 2-4 years for China to catch up and surpass SpaceX's launch rate and payload to LEO
>There's already half a dozen mega-constellation plans in the works, from satellite internet to data centers to earth observation, with satellite production in full swing, just waiting for the reusable rockets

Golden dome is gonna to have competition if America really does decide to build it. Also, the cope of "Well, the chinese might have their carrier killer missiles, but they can't sink the carriers if they can't find them" isn't gonna to work when China has tens of thousands of LEO recon satellites providing 24/7 real time coverage of every square meter of earth.

wake me up when/if they make these maiden flights successfully

As someone that follows rocket launches regularly I've been hearing about Chinese reusable rockets will "soon" take on SpaceX.... two more weeks.

Someone post that web of the "accidental" launch that hit a village?

You just have to wait a few months

Chinese launches are somewhat comparable to SpaceX, even with expendable rockets. They will skyrocket past them once they get reusable rockets

Existing chinese launchpads are inland, so some launches crash on populated areas. New launchsites and resauble rockets are supposed to fix this problem

My condolences to all the villages downrange of the launch sites.

The whole point of reusable rockets is that they land safely, on a barge or back on the launchpad

Why are you referencing a 30 year old incident like it's relevant?

why don't those chink niggers just move their launch pads to the coast, they are perfectly situated to be showering japan and worst korea with space debris instead of their own people

They are already doing so, the issue is that most of the existing launchpads are inland, a legacy from the cold war when most of China's launch infrastructure was constructed. The existing coastal launchsites are new and are still being expanded and not enough yet to take over from the decades old inland launchsites that had decades to expand. There's the Hainan and haiyang spaceport, both are still undergoing major expansion efforts.

China invented the "booster catch" Elon stole. Turns out regular chopsticks don't work, that's all.
