They're too destructive to just ignore and just enough trouble to stop that you have to make actual effort and even dedicate units to the task.

It's mostly a harassment weapon but it works. Kind of like the concept of skirmishers applied to bomber raids.

They're getting there.
It's maybe 300/day now and NK is sending 25k workers to help and learn and will build them domestically in the future.

>Luckily they cannot.
For now, they'll get to 1k/day within maybe six months.

It would be a good strategy to saturate the enemy and waste expensive air defense missiles to depletion. Problem is:

1) Iran doesn't have good ISR or targeting for their ballistic missiles to hit important targets when they do get through and
2) America is willing to send Israel endless amount of weapons for FREE. Their politicians have been compromised by a foreign regime so even though polling shows that the vast majority of Americans despise Israel, the money will continue

Still I'm hopeful that they can at least terrorize Tel Aviv and give them a taste of their own medicine.

They are.
That Spanish Rhinemetal AHEAD factory should be coming online soon and Rhinemetal already have production of *something* in western Ukraine.
That said, Ukraine just approved four new interceptor drones, some being semi-autonomous. Performance is apparently not equal between the four options, with two being adequate and two being much better.

I can see their value to peasant kingdoms and semi-industrialized countries. Think of them as a way to re-create a WW2-era industrial pipeline sort of weapon, just placing steel with electronics. The electronics can be sourced from the US and Europe via commercial suppliers evading sanctions, then all you need is assembly workshops to fabricate the simple airframes and put everything together — all you need is an explosives and engine suppliers, both of which are so basic anyone can set up. There you go, you’re cheap, decentralized mass-produced weapon. They need navigation, but in this case Russia can utilize GLONASS thanks to the space industry they managed to keep after the fall of the USSR — but even without that you could plug in an alternative nav module from the Mouser catalogue, all these things have been trivialized for last last 20 years or so.

Their effectiveness is very low, but it’s better than not having them as we can see in Ukraine where they’re used as penetration aids for cruise missiles.

When jets got too fast for cannon AAA during the Cold War, most countries ditched theirs and relied on AA missiles, so things like the shasneed had their short-lived niche as a low cost cope cruise missile that you can theoretically saturate enemy AD with relatively easily.
Now that everyone is woke to the drone threat and is scrambling to counter them, that window is rapidly closing.
