What the fuck are you even talking about. Flying wings have been a thing for a long time, MANTA was a proof of concept from 30 years ago, having all the bells and whistles on your plane in terms of control surfaces doesn't necessarily mean shit in the age of stealth and sensor networking.

Real 6th gen has neither canards nor vertical surfaces. Currently only china seems capable of managing with such few aero surfaces thanks to flexible ram coatings and probably superior modelling software to simulate combined CFD and radar reflectivity.

yeah so the US has been looking into flexible control surfaces vs traditional mechanical solutions for a good few decades
The primary cause of radar return on a canard is the mount, exposed surface, and leading edge varying its angle. Through varying the lifting surface geometry rather than the overall angle you reduce or eliminate those penalties while still allowing for some control.

The B2 was developed in the 80's and lacked any of that shit. It was a flying wing, and I suspect any future developments will be similar.
