Between the prolification of MANPADS, the omnipresent hazard of drones and the largely static nature of the Ukrainian battlefield, helicopters have largely been sidelined. Sure they loft some rockets now and again, but only because that's mostly safe enough

they still are used for fast movement even now
nothing beats a helo for moving over rough terrain and thats a capability thats always worth the risk

a division usually has enough helo transport to move a company at a time for small scale air transport
