I’ve enjoyed my classic LCP. Recently went clubbing downtown and passed through several security pat downs with it. Most bouncers and security don’t care what’s in your pocket, just in the waistband.

Wouldn't a person who pocket carries a gun also not have anything but the gun in the pocket, thus eliminating the chance of some random keys/pen/chapstick from pulling the trigger?

I think that is a valid scenario, but I also think the chance of that is still small enough to be negligible.

I mean some bouncers are better than others, but the 3 bars I went to patted me down and had me lift my shirt and they never found it.

Not everyone is a closet virgin that lives in dark caves. It was a getaway weekend with my wife. We stayed at a nice resort and went to a few bars and clubs. It was more her things but it was fun to go a little crazy for a night. Get over yourself

I’ve considered getting a holster like that, but I’m already so satisfied by the cheap pocket holster it came with I probably won’t. It’s so easy to just draw the whole thing.

probably a j frame w/o an exposed hammer in a center fire caliber like .38spcl

No it isn't, you put your phone on top or use a pocket holster if you're really that afraid. Or, just use a "cocked and locked" gun like a p938.

LCR 22 with the boot grip in a pocket holster in the back pocket. I use an old biker trick and keep a bandana tucked in front of it to break up any outline. Keep a revisions cv speedloader in my front pocket with 8 more rounds ready to go if I ever need them. Yeah it's just a 22 but my full loadout weighs less than one pound total and 16 rounds of CCI Velocitors at close range isn't anything to laugh at.

this is legitimately concerning if you're carrying cocked and locked with no manual safety. please just get a proper pocket holster that covers the trigger and doesn't come with the gun when you draw, or carry condition 3. what if a kid runs up and hugs your leg and squeezes too hard? or a big dog jumps on you and pushes against your pocket; it's well within possibility that could get ~6lb of force on the trigger to get that thing to go off. putting your phone on top isn't gonna stop it from shifting away unless it's glued to the holster. you're gonna have an ND at some point and kill somebody.

I do carry mine in a real pocket holster. It covers the trigger and keeps it stable in my pocket. Also very easy to hook my fingers around the grip and draw smoothly without pulling out the holster.

I carry a PPK/S with a round in the chamber, safety off, and hammer down on a clipdraw. Are you gonna tell I'm gonna shoot my cock off too? Cuz let me tell you something you're not my dad and you're not that anon with the stupid looking square holster's dad either and you do NOT get to tell us what to do with out live or our concealed carry weapons I don't know where you think you get off but i'll have you know I've walked down to the gas station multiple times to get hotdogs and Sprite at 12:30am and I've never once shot my dick off so you should mind your own business and get with the times not everyone wants to be a fudd with a 1911 on their hip just waiting for Dequarius and Jamal to grab it and execute you point blank in the back of the head some of us want to conceal carry a practical weapon and not some 5 pound hunk obsolete hunk of steel grandpa so keep your stupid comments in your pocket like we carry our practical conceal carry pistols and mind your own business because you don't know everything and you don't have the authority to tell other people what to do grandpa I bet you don't even carry you just leave it in your car or house or your wife's purse so i don't know why you even think you have an opinion, man

Your concerns seem very exaggerated. Technically his pocket is the holster. A cheap fabric or nylon pocket holster wouldn't really offer any greater protection than the pocket itself does. It just helps break up the outline so it doesn't print as much. Otherwise there's little to no danger unless he's carrying it with other items inside of his pocket. Could it still happen? Sure. Could the sear fail and the gun just randomly fire on its own one day? Also, yes. These are the risks you take when you carry. The likelihood of anything other than his booger hook snagging that trigger and firing is minimal.

you're a retard with authority issues. i don't give a fuck if and when you shoot your cock off, but when you ND a round into somebody else, they're sure as hell gonna be wishing YOU minded YOUR own business. get a proper, hard-sided holster that protects the trigger if you carry condition 1, because when your retard ass accidentally kills somebody, the retard libs are gonna pass some more retarded laws and force me to buy a retarded tax stamp because retards like you can't be trusted to handle firearms safely

>>63900373
when i say a proper pocket holster, i mean something with hard sided trigger protection like kydex or a hard leather. if you literally never wear anything other than jeans it's probably fine, but what if you're carrying in dress pants? not a great idea to leave your trigger protection up to what pants you put on in the morning. and somebody bumping/grabbing your pocket hard enough to pull the trigger through any pants is infinitely more likely than the sear on your gun failing.
