2 billion rubles is like 25 million US dollars, isn't it?
The exchange rate may not be terribly meaningful since you can't just use rubles to pay for many things priced in USD. At the very least, the intermediaries will want some % of the transaction.

>In November 2022, Russia received a new batch of Sukhoi Su-34s of the modernized Su-34M variant; the number is yet unknown but it is safe to assume it was at least four units.[52][53][54] Another batch of modernized Su-34Ms was handed over to the Russian Aerospace Forces in late December 2022. At this point, the total number of Su-34s produced under all contracts, including seven prototypes and pre-production units, reached at least 153 units.[1] New batches were delivered in June, October and November 2023 and in April, June, September, October, November and December 2024 with at least 10 aircraft delivered in total throughout the year.[55][56][57][58][59][60][61][62][63] The first batch for the 2025 was delivered on 18 April with two aircraft.[64]

The BBC doesn't have a dedicated security career field like Security Forces or the RAF Regiment. Gate duty on a Russian airbase rotates between tenant units, and is usually given as a punishment for fucking up.
There was a Russian airman on /int/ years ago who deployed to Syria and would post stories of his time there, apparently prostitutes from the local towns would be let on base and would walk out on to the flightline unsupervised to fuck the guys working on aircraft, nobody cared.

This. Some student gaza protestors graffitied some RAF tankers a few weeks back, just drove onto the base on electric scooters and started spraying, and now the bong MOD are so asshurt and embarrassed that they're trying to class them as a terror org. The reality is most air bases are empty space and just guarded by miles of wire fences and a few MPs with dogs.

>>July 1st 1965: Da Nang had grown into the major centre for air operations in the northern provinces of South Vietnam. On 8 March 1,600 US Marines had landed at the base and from then on Da Nang developed to become the main base for Marine Corps activity during the war. The Marines also took over responsibility for the security of the airfield in March 1965. In the early hours of 1 July a mortar attack at one end of Da Nang airfield provided a diversion for a group of VC sappers who killed a USAF guard, SSgt T K Jensen, and gained entry to the flight line. They then placed satchel charges and hand grenades among several aircraft. Two C-130A flareships from Nahaโ€™s 6315th Operations Group were destroyed along with three of Da Nangโ€™s F-102 interceptors from the 509th FIS detachment. The F-102s were sitting on alert status and the enemy sappers simply threw hand grenades into the open cockpits and fired machine guns into the tailpipes. The flareships, which had only recently arrived at Da Nang, flew missions over the Ho Chi Minh Trail at night dropping flares for accompanying strike aircraft, usually B-57s at this stage of the war. Two VNAF C-47s were also destroyed in the attack on Da Nang and three more F-102s, three C-123s, and 18 VNAF C-47s were damaged. A C-130A 56-0475 from the 817th TCS of the 6315th OG was also badly damaged but later repaired and flew with the Air Force Reserve until it was retired to become a battle damage training airframe.
Just like Vietnam

Well, technically this sint the first attack, and the main millionaire funder of the group and its attacks is an American self proclaimed communist that has defended the Russian invasion of Ukraine on public record.

The uses the gaza as a smoke screen, the group has attacked four different military locations that are related to Ukraine, burning or damaging logistics vehicles and military contractors within europe and the UK.

He is a zigger that is sabotaging anything related to European defence or Ukrainian aid, clearly as day. This is by definition terrorism.

I'm a bit more sympathetic to the Americans considering they were only three months into a fight against an enemy who had literally been at war for the last 30 straight years and had never dealt with serious irregular airbase ground attacks before,
versus the Russians, who have had at least a dozen ground infiltration attempts and drone strikes on rear airbases since the war began, as well as pioneered doctrine on using irregular forces to raid airfields and tried to do it (failing miserably) during the first days of the war

That's why there isn't a recruiting crisis. A lot of those guys are struggling and joining the war gives them enough money that their family finally is comfortable after the past decade of economic shit. A lot of Russian women are now driving around in new Chinese cars and taking vacations to sunny locations thanks to their husband going away to probably die or be maimed in Ukraine.

The problem with this approach is that the system learns nothing over time, except for the cockroaches who survive purges by deflecting blame from themselves and throwing others under the bus, who will only build up the institutional memory of how to continue to deflect blame and throw others under the bus.
