Why doesn't the P320 Raider go off at random like the stock P320?

Much rarer, at a guess. There are 2.5 million P320s across mil and police customers around the world, how many raiders exist?

Because 10,000 people don't carry them around loaded every single day.

Some old letter accidentally ruled that the ATF only considers perfectly 90-degree VFGs to be VFGs. They'd probably like to change their minds again to fuck people over but now that Chevron is dead I think the specter of a court smashing their dicks is enough for them not to pry at the issue.

I fucking hate bureaucracy but sometimes it fails in the right direction accidentally, i guess.

unless it's an emergency, no
i don't think enough people understand how a profiteering mindset compromises everything from the get go
when you cut corners to save on costs without care for quality, you will get issues like this

sig makes glock look like a great buy by default

It's like a stick in the woods you're letting fall in one direction or the other to decide which way to go.
One direction you're clear and you might find a delicious edible plant if you keep your eyes open.
In the other direction there's a horrifying barbarian rape pit.
Fucking stick is so useless but it's deciding so much for you.

By this definition it's actually funny to argue that a bullpup with a 90 degree vertical grip for your fire control grip would constitute a "VFG" despite said bullpup being configured as a pistol

Good question! Only real answer I can come up with is a combination of them being a tiny fraction of the popularity of the base 320 combined with selection bias. It seems only a tiny minority of p320s are unsafe, otherwise they'd be going off daily and sig shills wouldn't even be able to cope and deflect anymore. The major cause of unsafe 320s seems to be mixing and matching parts on them across different years of production or intended caliber. This is probably also why so many ADs seem to involve law enforcement, mr armorer replaces some springs or small parts that shouldn't matter and suddenly the tolerance stacking fairy is fucking a new hole in some random officers thigh.
>Manual safety
Irrelevant unless it was a pre drop safety fix unit, the raider safety is a simple trigger block.

>T. Just got a 320 because I got a raider chassis and did some research

I'll go with this. Only a minority of 320s are Raiders, and they're not the kind of gun which people are wont to carry (concealed or not), meaning they aren't being lugged around in a holster all day.
Meanwhile, regular 320s are carried as duty pistols by many cops, sidearms by military personnel, and people's private carry gun in civilian life, so the chances are just more likely that if it's a defective 320, it's being carried around all day. A defective 320 as a Raider is probably sitting in a safe or somewhere else mostly static (perhaps it's someone's car gun).

>>63907963
Is the manual safety different from the basic and underengineered one on the base 320?

>>63908056
It'd be funny if it wasn't so needlessly retarded.
