But really though, riding is dangerous. Your bike is small, quick, and nimble and thus can be moved out of the path of danger more quickly, but you are more likely to encounter it in the first place. You are small, you take up a small portion of one’s field of view, you’re easy to miss. So people turn left in front of you because they don’t see you coming, Change lanes without seeing you in their mirrors, etc. and this is assuming competent drivers. Now factor in the groups I mentioned before, drunk people, high people, old people, incompetent people, etc. And when you crash, you have no doors or airbags to cushion impact. Just your flesh and bones. its dangerous man. Riding is exhilarating, but now I’d do it only at a track (if I still had a bike)
