Feels bad, man.
Anyone know of any good 4th of July sales? I just checked PSA and their ammo "sale" prices are literally the same as their normal prices 2 weeks ago when I bought.
>>63919755I love that beer and that can graphic is objectively better than the regular can. Also, don't be sad because it's ending - be happy because it happened.

>>63919874>what is the functional difference between 124 and 115gr FMJ?Energy = mass ร velocity. A higher weight bullet of the same velocity as a lower weight bullet will have more energy. Different weights also have different ballistics (velocity, trajectory, energy, speed, range, etc.).
>Why is it even a thing? Some people want softer shooting, quieter rounds. Some people want barrier penetration. Some people want hotter rounds. Etc.
>Does 124 work better in certain guns or vice versa?Yes.
>>63919894Did you shoot any fish, anon?
>>63919899OP's pussy is admittedly BTFO.
>>63919894Sweet. Where at? That looks somewhere high up in the mountains.
>>63919874For 9mm pistols? It really only matters because some are finicky with 115gr ammo. My Steyr M9-A1 for example will not properly extract a round with some weak loaded 115gr because it won't kick the slide back enough. No problems with 124gr.
>>63919977Checked. HKs also recommend running 124 grain or heavier, if nothing else, at least during a break in period of the first 500 rounds. Have you tried running 115 grain through your Styer since?
>>63919982Yes. I have about 1000 rounds through it and 115gr is sometimes still a problem. I looked it up a while ago and others were saying the same. Use 124gr, or known hot 115gr.
>>63919977>>63919982My stock 92FS never has any issues with any ammo but after putting thousands of 115 and 124 gr rounds downrange, I recently have been feeding it Federal 147 gr and I really enjoy it. I am actually tempted to buy hotter loads to see just what my 92FS can take
>>63919996I also have the M9-A4.
>>63919755 And yeah it eats anything 115gr to 147gr no problem. I exclusively use 147gr with it because of the suppressor. Also I am incredibly homophobic.
>>63920002I love my 92FS but I feel kind of guilty because I rarely shoot it any more. My PX-4 Compact is my carry piece so I train with it more but also it shoots just as smooth as my 92FS despite being polymer and smaller
>>63919990>>63919996I like 147 gr best, personally, but I'll also shoot some 124 gr. I honestly don't buy 115 gr anymore. I just don't see the point of running something that fast when I can shoot more accurately with the heavier loads. Plus, at 147 gr they are generally subsonic and sound better suppressed. If you want hotter loads without running +P, then buy from European manufacturers (like Sellier & Bellot) l, because Euro loads are all NATO spec (rather than SAAMI), which is hotter.
>>63919996>I am actually tempted to buy hotter loads to see just what my 92FS can takeWinchester Service grade is a 115 gr going at 1300 fps, by far the hottest "range" load and it's only ~25 cents.
Doesn't say it's +P, but Federal's 115gr +P+ load is the same velocity, having shot both Federal's way hotter but Winchester Service Grade is hotter than any range load I've seen.

>>63920070In my experience, 92 barrels drop in and work in 96s with zero issues. So I tend to get 96 slides and shoot 9mm, just in case I want to shoot .40 or .357 Sig
>>63920002>>63919755some day i hope to get my a4 running reliably. anons were not memeing about lack of QC in the TN factory. i've heard it'll smooth out with more shooting but it's always such a disappointment that i've probably shot less than 150 rounds in the 2 years i've owned it. i should probably sent it for warranty work

>>63917086 but I'd like some more
alright, newfag who got a G19 recently here again. Last time I asked about a light recommendation, this time I'm curious about what to replace the stock glock sights with? I like black on black sights, and preferable something not plastic just for aesthetics. Any good ones?
>>63920139i hate brown cops
>>63920121If you send your side into Glock, theyโll install steel sights for $20.

>>63920213Idk I put a different recoil spring in it a long time ago and don't remember what it was like before that. But I think I'm leaning towards yes.
>>63920108The anon who replied to you is the only one who has a comped PX4. Half the general doesn't have PX4s. It's just one guy obsessed with them who posts them constantly. He has like 6 or 7 of them.
>>63920231there's a few of them, they just aren't here right now, they go to another school
>>63920108Why would you need a comp?
>>63920121Spend your money on ammo and shooting. Don't fall for the gunsooming meme. Shoot the stock sights till they fall off (they won't).
>>63920121Spend your money on gadgets and acessories. Don't fall for the fake stoic stock gun meme. Shoot a new configuration till there is no more permutations possible (they won't).
>>63920121Ignore everyone else. Cut the slide and put a dot on it. If you don't wanna do that, then just shoot it how it is now.
>>63920121People are saying get an optic and you should, it's a much better investment than a memelight.
Also the stock sights aren't terrible but the bigger worry is that the plastic front sight can break when dropped and also wear from being drawn and reholstered a lot. I think tritium sights are gay but fiber optics are incredible. The broke man's red dot.
>>63920252>telling a newfag to get out there and shoot instead of getting hung up endless consunerism is a "fake stoic stock gun meme"Christ, it's no wonder you collect haters.

I love my 1911 and I feel very comfortable shooting and carrying it, but for home defense purposes I think its time to face reality and get something with higher capacity + wml/red dot sight. Should I try to get something with similar ergonomics like a 2011 or should I just get a Glock and start practicing?
>>63920298Itโs a joke.
He should replace his Glock sights, theyโre really just dovetail protector.

>>63920335Forgot to mention that I have an ar15 already, but Iโm looking for a functional handgun in case I donโt have access to it/need a free hand for whatever reason.
>>63920329Yeah get a 2011 but don't get a Prodigy for the love of God just spend the money
>>63920329Dan Wesson DWX is a very attractive not-a-2011 2011, internally it only has a 2011/1911 trigger action and the rest is borrowed from modern guns. The barrel is a modern P220 linkless design and the magazines are CZs (CZ, Sig, Beretta, and a few other manufacturers share the same basic magazine tube).
>>63920343get another ar15
>>63920323...and that's a good thing!
>>63920343Ah, well in that case, why not just go with a Glock 47? 17 round mags, reliable as hell, and if you ever need to use it for its intended purpose, it's easily replaceable.
>>63920345Donโt actually know that much about the 2011 market. My friend says the Staccato is really good but idk if there are better options around that price point or if I would want to save a bit more.
>>63920352Iโll take a look at this one.
>>63920356Definitely a tempting option. I suppose with the money saved I could buy enough rounds to practice a lot with it. Would an Apex trigger bring it closer to a 1911 experience?
>>63920353>>63920358Dual wield action
>noooo!!!! You must shoot shitty Glock bucket sights
>you canโt change your gun the way you like it
>you must shoot your gun completely stock, ignore the huge industry made to replace every single part of โGlock Perfectionโ
>ignore Glock having specific SKUs with upgraded sights for law enforcement and agency sales
>>63920383An Apex trigger does a lot for Glocks but it will still be far from a 1911 trigger.
If you want a super light, crisp trigger on a modern optics-ready double stack get a Walther PDP or Canik Rival/Mete. They are optics ready and have a very crisp and light trigger with little takeup and almost no reset.
>>63920383The only things that can make Glock triggers closer to 1911 triggers is full cock conversions, which completely sacrifice the safety of the โGlock safe actionโ and a few of them introduce reliability issues
Maybe the M&P with the apex, Ben Stoeger talks highly of it from the few heโs shot at classes. But if you have the money, just skip the market of โclosest thing to a 2011 in a striker firedโ and go straight to a 2011. Right now the prices are coming down on 2011, Tisas exists below 800 dollars, Prodigy at 1200 which is basically a project gun, Fusion Firearms made this not a 2011 that takes glock mags at 1k, DWX exists 1500-2000. Kimber just made a 2011 called the 2k11 and the basic version sits just below 2k - and they also made a .45 ACP version with a 13 round capacity. MBX mags gets 15-16 rounds in the same 13 round mag sized.
>>63920394>>63920405Great info, thanks bros.
>>63920418I canโt believe we skipped over hammer fired DA/SAs existing. 92s, P226s, CZs, all have good or with aftermarket decent triggers.
The 92 and P226 is what replaced the 1911 in military service. You should look at those. Langdon Tactical 92s with a trigger job start at 1000, they might do a 4th of July sale, for Fatherโs Day I got one 175 dollars off (825).
>>63920427He wants something that can take optics and those guns are not that without aftermarket cuts
>>63920432p226 has stock optic cut guns and so will the new p226X line. The 92s have stock optics cuts, but the aftermarket one is better so everyone gets that one instead.
>>63920437The 92 cut is a joke and >Sig
>>63920427Look at the insane height of that cowitness sight.
>>63919731 (OP)So I'm thinking about getting a new CC piece, something lighter and smaller than my 686 or my M&P. Since I'm a smith slut in thinking about the Shield, specifically the performance center version for the better trigger and factory fiber optic sights. Would it be a good carry setup with a TLR6 or similar light and a clipdraw? Really I just want something that I can comfortably carry in loose fitting sweatpants so it needs to be light first and foremost
>>63921058Why the fuck would you put a light on a mucrocompact that is already going to have fiber optic sights and you're buying specifically for the lack of bulk?
But yes, the Shield Plus is good.
>>63921058>clipdraw with sweatpants on microcompact that has a notoriously shit safety and has had its trigger lightenedYeah you're going to get shot because you couldn't actuate the safety or shoot off your own penis.
>>63921081Shit as in unreliable or shit as in impossible to realistically use?
is .380 fun to shoot? i wanna get something to cc in .380. the lcp max is catching my eye but i want some opinions before i buy one.
>>63919731 (OP)picrel is probably the most comfortable pistol I have ever shot, I gave mine to my son figuring that it would just stay in the family rotation, he fell in love and moved 600 miles away
My brother in law is considering buying a Canik TTI combat...whats /hg/s opinion on it?
From what ive read so far it seems kind of troublesome...especially for the price
>Pic not related
>>63921150Not really. Most guns in .380 are direct blowbacks and small. It can be quite snappy. Also, itโs more expensive than 9mm and hollow points either donโt expand well enough or penetrate enough. 9mm is just better.
>>63921150A .380 LCP was without a doubt the least fun gun I have ever shot.
>>63921189You already kinda know. Turkshit for the price of non-turkshit. Maybe see if he likes the look of a pdp or idk a vp9. Either one you could add swag like magwells and metal triggers for less than the titty combat.
>>63920121>black sights>not plasticThat would be the Range Series from Ameriglo. If you're going to be carrying them, then they should be hi-lo vis like the TFX Pros
>>63921189Caniks in general are pretty nice and I've heard the tti combat is pretty good. I'd say just get a mete instead
>>63921189Canik is good but instead of leaning into a more ergonomic grip like Walther and HK they have a pretty stock rectangular grip. You might prefer it.
The TTI has a comp which can make it less reliable. The Mete and Rival are cheaper and less bullshit to deal with. The TTI extended slide stop is nice though.

>>63922281because you gotta jostle it to get the sear to slip
FCU pistols; not even once
>>63922281It has to move in order to jostle the sear assembly free and make it go off, and if it's pointed downwards gravity might pull on the parts differently.
>>63922324>>63922313Why does this only happen with the 320 though and not other stuff like the Rugpul or APX?
Review embargoes have lifted on the P10C Ported and it's basically a P10C with a port, deeper serrations, and the front slide serrations now go around the top of the slide too.
Buuuuuuuuuut they apparently redesigned the mags and you can't use the old mags in your gun. This is so fucking gay if true.
>>63922348probably because A: those pistols weren't thrown-together adaptations of a hammer-fired gun, and B: there's a hundred times more 320s out there than APXes and rugpulls
>>63922273Based steyrenjoyer
>>63922311Mad that a sigger got a free transition surgery while you had to pay?
>>63922348>Rugpul or APXThose have a sear lock or firing pin detent as redundancy. The P320 only has a safety sear with less than 01mm of engagement with lots of slack it slip right off
>>63922509>with less than 01mm of engagementLie based on a sample of 1.

>>63920108Note that the only ones that had "problems" were the first generation Full Size comps, that would put too much pressure and either crack themselves or crack the frame and if you didn't notice it could cause whatever the comp equivalent of baffle strikes is.
At one point they discontinued and stopped selling them due to the risk, but they should be fine now.
Comps dont do anything on pistols. They just dont. They look cool, sure. I have a Stainless Px4 that im "working on" that will eventually have a comp and get sent for a langberg Jewtical goyptic cut, but im taking my time because i want to find a compact in the wild and try it out before committing.
Been thinking of getting a CZ P-09C mostly for the factory direct optic mount. I've heard there's some reliability issues though, are these just growing pains that can be solved with a break-in period and a polished feed ramp or more serious? And how much better (if at all) is the trigger compared to the P-10 or other striker guns?
>>63923874idk about the p09 specifically, but direct mounting optics is, imo, a meme
if you own a torque wrench and use the correct screws and threadlocker, you don't need to worry about your plate flying off
the only optic fastener's i've ever had come loose were the directly mounted ones on my p365xl

I would like to apologize to the Beretta Px4 owner for calling his gun gay. I was drinking adult sodas and having a lot of fun.
Anyway, I'm thinking about buying a P30SK with LEM trigger for concealed carry.
>>63924140Also, here's a great video on the LEM trigger:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYlyxZXSGgU
I never understood how it actually worked until I watched this video. I read articles, shorter videos before, none of them explain it clearly.
>>63923790Just shoot a stock Inox 92, you don't need a trigger job
>>63923326That style mag carrier is all I use now, breaks up the outline and is comfy. One is a Don Hume and I have a Desantis that is discontinued. Thereโs a guy on eBay who sells a lot of old stock Don Hume gear.
Bad news from the range today. My Staccato P had 7+ failures to lock back after last round. While I believed this may have been due to my grip and the positioning of my thumbs, most of the failures occurred while shooting one handed. I cannot trust the firearm as a duty pistol.
>>63924376Who gives a fuck retard. Charge the pistol like you should be doing anyway. This is a fucking larp anyway, you don't own a gun you can't figure out how to use.
>>63924376Did you take the required TRT? Did you miss your creatine that morning? What tattoos did you have on your shooting arm?
Iโm saying you might have not been heroic enough for the gun to function. You should get on Grand Thumbโs TRT and maximum fertility stack.
>>63924385Not a larp as most online research has pointed to either magazine issues and/or a pistol issue. Never had the issue with my Glocks.
>>63924386I must have missed my TRT/tattoo session
>>63924402Ben Stoegerโs P had a bad slide stop, contact Staccato as they said they had an entire serial number range with bad slide stops
>>63924412I appreciate the advice and may do that. However, a pistol which runs $2.5K+ shouldnโt have issues like that nor should $70+ magazines especially if itโs being marketed as a โduty pistolโ
>>63924376>the "last round hold open" mechanism on essentially all firearms is just the follower in the magazine pushing up the slide lock from the inside.>this has been the case for all time on basically all firearms even on bolt action shit from 125 years ago>basically it will always be due to the power of the spring in your magazine, the shape or wear of the follower in the magazine, or the ammunition in the magazine not being powerful enough to cycle the slide so that the follower engages the lock>Troubleshoots the issue by changing the "positioning of my thumbs"you're not going to make it bro.
>>63924420Shut up dude. Iโve spent more than that on a handgun and it didnโt work out of the box.
Wah wah my entry level 2011 doesnโt work
>>63924460Can you post this gun?
Does "high caliber" recoil kill low-mid tier optics on pistols like it does on rifles? Just snagged a 4th of July deal on a G40 mos and would rather "buy once, cry once" if raping Holosuns to death in <1000 rounds will be a thing.
>>63924469>>63924472Iโm just saying failure to lockback which may have been user induced isnโt that bad.
My Nighthawk Predator 10mmโs slide stop wasnโt fit correctly and would interfere with the incoming round, engaging prematurely in which would lock the slide back with partial engagement peening the slide. It got fixed for free, just like how Staccato will fix it for free if you fall in the bad serial number range or not. Theyโll send a 2 day prepaid fedex label, just drop it off at your local fed ex store.
Ben Stoeger was talking about his Staccato in a recent video and said that when he bought it people were telling him Staccato probably knew who he was so they sent him the best, most QC'd gun they had. It turned out to not be true and the one they sent him was shit, poorly fitted and failed multiple times "but the warranty is good."
I'd rather things just work out of the box and I never have to deal with customer service.
>>63924478not really, especially considering that the slide velocity on a small 9mm is probably higher than the slide velocity on a big 10mm
>>63923874I have one, with an EPS Carry, and a CGW extended firing pin and firing pin safety pin. Those CGW parts are necessary upgrades. The trigger starts off gritty, but smooths out over time, but not as fast as I'd like. I've only got four digits of rounds through it, and the single action is still somewhat inconsistent, due to the nature of the roller bearing putting each trigger pull on a different section of surface area. It always has a good bit of slop and a crisp break, sometimes with no grit, and sometimes with a touch of grit before the break. Double action is good for a stock duty gun. No real complaints.
I've never had a single malfunction. The gun is very easy to shoot accurately. That said, if you go through eight or so mags back to back (not just dumping rounds, but shooting sensibly fast), the trigger does get uncomfortably hot.
I love the gun, but again, those CGW firing pin parts are necessary upgrades.
it's still mystifying to me that there are literally 0 (zero) good options for a small, sleek, dressy-looking 9mm
it's always wacked out, subpar shit like kahrs and the hk p7
>>63924521Don't care, didn't ask. Go jerk off to him in a closet if you love him so much.
>>63924543>dressy 9mmWho cares?
>>63924428What I was highlighting is sometimes the positioning of the thumbs can โrideโ the slide stop/slide release and accidentally release the slide on an empty magazine.
>>63924460Thatโs fair and maybe I was ignorant on what you get for that price. The pistol shoots beautifully 95% of the time but the malfunctions are a concern where I wouldnโt want it as a โduty pistolโ. I concede peopleโs definition of โduty pistolโ may be different as well.
>>63924509That is a sexy pistol as well
>>63924583>Thatโs fair and maybe I was ignorant on what you get for that priceEntry level 2011 would be like the Prodigy. Sub-2k. Staccato is supposed to be reliable. Built for heroes. They fucked up.

2 and 3 can be found by loading rounds and just racking the slide manually.

>>63931038Gotta pay to play
(picture not related)
>>63931086NO I'M NOT FUCKING OKAY!!!!!!!!!! I NEED TO HAVE ORAL SEX WITH OLDER MEN!!!!!!!!!
>>63931104Taran Tactical ruined those John Wick movies. She's running around with retarded $5000 custom guns all movie.
>>63931104what if instead of a glock she was field stripping your wiener?
haha
>>63931114Fucking Taran Snacktical
>>63931121lol that's be a supper funny prank
>>63931104wow she is really attractive
>>63931114I would prefer 2k custom guns instead of 5k, I would be pissed if it was a stock Glock or something
>>63931089This is a high quality recent pic. You still got it Burt.
>>63931155>2k >custom gun
>>63931145Without filters or makeup, you'll see how years of partying fucked her face up
>>63931180yeah she's probably been doing it the past 12 years too...
I'm a white guy in my 30s and still can't find a wife
>>63931155Why? It should be a stock gun.
The JW movies have it all backwards. The hero should have a stock or largely stock gun because that's a gun anyone can have, it means the hero is an everyman and distinguished only by superior skill and willpower. The bad guy is the one with the gaudy $5000 riced out gun because they are an arrogant faggot that buys skill to make up for low moral character.
In JW Keanu or whoever the hero is is supposed to be on the run, alone, yet has some $5000 custom 2011 and everyone else is running stock guns including the rich as fuck villain of JW4 who uses a stock M&P despite his entire character being a snobby impossibly wealthy faggot.
>>63931191Nigger, JOHN FUCKING WICK is not your Everyman. That is the point, he is John Wick.
>>63931198That's the point, retard. He's John Wick so he can be good with any gun. He doesn't need $10,000 superguns. It's actually more impressive if he's using normal guns, like he did in the first movie.
It's only from JW2 and onwards that the protagonist always gets special Taran guns. Why don't other people have bullshit custom guns? Why is it literally only just protagonists?
>>63931203The first movie he had a custom P30L with an impossibly large compensator
>>63931206correct and idk why you two fags are even arguing in the first place
>>63930894If it ever sees the light of day in US markets I will 100% buy one, but I just don't see it happening any time soon if ever.
>>63931086Based. What's the date code on that baby?
>>63931089Hi ฦrrrrลง o/
>>63931112Stainless USPs go so hard. Shame we'll probably never see HK make stainless pistols again.
>>63931127I just loaded up mags for my MP5K that's configured just like that, except super safe. Going to shoot guns with my dad this 4th (:
>>63931206The first movie also had a shoe string budget and was self funded by Keanu
>>63931206It's such a weird choice too. A real John Wick would not be using that gun as their primary sidearm. It's just silly. USP 9mm Tactical is strictly better.
>>63931211im a fag i suck cock
>>63931220Dude I don't care that you're gay. Stop telling me.
>>63931223i love sucking cock with my mouth
>>63931224And what gun is your favorite?
>>63931218P30L was probably cheaper
>>63931227sig p365 xmacro with radian afterburner + ramjet also i love to suck cock
>>63931215>If it ever sees the light of day in US markets I will 100% buy oneIt will. James Williamson himself told me.
>>Going to shoot guns with my dad this 4th (:dude nice. I will go check on the date of my HK94 now
>>63931232dude I don't care if you're gay stop posting about it
>>63931240You and everyone one else on HK Pro and YouTube. James is a very diplomatic company man. He'll always encourage people to show interest in purchasing HK firearms. His deep dove videos from the Gray Room are so cool though. Watched the MP7 video last week. Good stuff.
>>63931188Checked, the 19th Amendment and its consequences have been a disaster for mankind
>>63931242hello im currently thinking about sucking some fat fucking cock
>>63931249He is employed by H&K now. I posted the (now deleted) youtube comments that prove the VP9CC is coming to the US.
>>63931254this dude keeps talking to me about gay sex and I don't know how to get rid of him
>>63931230>omg I'm a multi-millionaire ex-hitman, I can't throw a few hundy at a superior handgun! It's just a weird choice. I wish they did an explanation of why. Have someone ask him and he gives a reason. Nothing fancy. I can be he just likes it the most, or shoots it well, fits his hand. On paper it's just a straight downgrade.
>>63931198>>63931216He used a colt 1903 because heโs based
>>63931264let me suck your cock
>>63931269no dude, I'm lonely but I'm not even prison gay
>>63931288cmon man ill suck the color off of it im really good
>>63931294I'd rather jerk off than see your ugly face
>>63931304you can jerk off onto my face thats cool too
>>63931325you already told me
>>63931336I LOVE COCK IN MY MOUTH AND ALSO CUM
>>63931264Those don't prove anything, lol. He just tells you to continue expressing interest in HK product.
>>63931347He's employed by HK and he's the guy to talk to about this specific thing. Idk why you would even argue with me about this.
re: polymer hammer guns as a first gun are the HK P30, the FNX-9, or the Walther P99 any good?
>>63931372P30 is the best choice there by a mile.
is that guy asking about my HK94 still here? sorry I forgot
>>63931366I know who James is. Do you even HK Pro?
>>63931372Replace the P30 with a P2000 or USP, and yeah that's a good list.
>>63931422I'm here forever.
>>63931432Okay, well the VP9CC is coming. Did you see the picture from the factory? Brb on the HK94
>>63931442Yes I saw the picture. If that's production for anything it's likely for Euro contracts. This gun wasn't design for the US consumer market and were sure as heck not getting it before Euro mil/LEO contracts.
>>63931455I just pulled out the HK94 and I don't see a date code anywhere. Do you know where it would be?
I'm just going to put the HK94 away then.
>>63931478It should be on top by the stag antler like pic rel.
>>63931127Stop posting this, asshole. You make me regret choosing the B&T schtock
>>63931491aight I'll check (I didn't actually put it away yet)
>>63931496>he didn't even get a UMP stockYikes.
>>63931502Oh hell yeah, 1985. Based.
>>63931507>Based.Yeah it's my dad's and mine now.
>>63931516Based dad. My dad is Colt SAApilled. When we go shootin on the 4th, I'm bringing some HKs and a Jericho 941 and he'll bring some Colts, M1 Garand, and other boomercore blasters. Should be fun.
>>63931523Cool. I saw my dad last weekend and looked for snakes together in Arizona.
>>63931496idk what you even meant by posting this, tripfag
>>63931539It was a compliment
>>63931545yeah it's pretty cool
