Anyone else like constantly want to change/modify their guns that work fine? I feel like I always want to change the sights on my .22 even though it has aftermarket sights that I know I will like better than any other sights I can put on it. It's like I keep getting tempted to consume accessories I don't need that would be annoying to put on (because I'd have to take off other stuff) and would not make my shooting experience better

Anon, it's just human nature to min-max your shit.
If it wasn't the .22 it would be your car, your HVAC system, remodeling your bathroom, computer parts, getting an air fryer, optimizing your diet and exercise to get visible abs by late July, etc.
Some people aren't even looking for objectively better shooting experience, such as the "clone correct" type of people hunting down accessories from 20-30 years ago.
