Why don't more consumer guns come with graphic designs like these? For most people, they'll sit around and do nothing, or be used as range toys. Why should they be dull?

What do you think cerakote is? Also have you seen the way most people customize their guns? Good taste is dead

They do. They’re just really fucking expensive. Like these museum pieces were.

Munitions grade arms were never so ornate, no matter the time period.

you can get them seracoated. though imo the only time designs on guns look good is when they are expensive engravings on nice guns and most guns sold in the US are sold to a price point

this. I think people have a warped perception of what older guns looked like because the more ornate ones tend to be better preserved and shown off because A. the look cool and B. they usually belonged to cool people. Like Teddy Roosevelt had a bunch of ornate guns but he also had a net worth of $168 million 2022 dollars

>consumer guns
That was not a consumer gun. That was a $$$$ art piece that could only have been afforded by the ultra-wealthy. Guns like that still exist, they're just priced way above "consumer", just like that gun was. Go look up what a Holland & Holland shotgun costs.

Yes. People, myself included, drool over amazing historical pieces but those were the exception rather than the rule.
