I like this aesthetic.

Ok everyone, sit the fuck down and learn something. I used my Garmin Xero to test some .357 ammo out of my handguns. Interesting results. I have some Buffalo Bore on the way to test later.

125gr almost 1500fps average with a 5" barrel is not too shabby!

Energy transfer on impact, impact velocities effect initial resistance. All that energy is just opening the bullet up. The rest is just a wasted transfer that has no effective terminal result on the target. A larger diameter, more mass and momentum will always bring about a more favorable result when it comes to pistols. 357 sig is better than 9mm. 40 is better than both.

On my nighthawk 2011 the slide stop sometimes gets pushed out of place by the follower, like it skips the notch and the body of the follower pushes the slide stop out. It kind of locks up the gun if you try to rack the slide without dropping the mag first

It is a serious issue, for insurance reasons, for the safety of your patrons since suicidal people don’t care which direct the gun is pointing, I’m sure nobody wants to witness someone blow their brains out. Imagine taking your kids to the range and some faggot (statistically significant) kills themselves and gets brain matter all over the place

well I am mentally ill so I'm only allowed to shoot guns at a range or get one illegally. they won't give me my loicense in the next 5 years, and maybe never ever. on the upside I'm exempt from military duty at fucking all, if we ever go into a full-scale war I'll still be in the backlines lol because I'm considered to be non fit completely, not partially

I wouldn't trust myself with a gun too. if they approve my mental health evaluation I could get a self-loading rifle in just 2 years (granted, a smoothbore AK carbine.. but the ballistics are practically the same at <50 meters so it's mass killing capacities are the same. the ban on rifled weapons is stupid.)

Soviet era "chokolate" is absolute SHITE.
I once had a bite, and I still remember how awful it tasted. Like, Actually feel in my mouth how bad it was. It was like someone takins sawdust and old motor oil and making "chokolate" out of it. Granted, I was probably spoiled by being raised in Finland with some ACTUAL CHOKOLATE, so I could not appreciate the russian variety. (yes, I have been to Soviet union and Russia after it all fell. It was shit, and it sucked.)

I am sure it is an acquired taste that if that's what you had as a kid, you kinda still miss, if for nothing else than nostalgia. But it's still shit.
Just... just DO NOT try to eat soviet-recipe "chokolate. Just don't. You will regret it.

People also steal the guns, some kimchi stabbed the range officer and took the guns and fled. They caught him but people are fucking retarded with guns there, my ex-phatmacist pointed a pepperball gun in my face to imitate the black people in America. He was an old fuck and his assistant looked horrified, I should have called the cops but foreigners don't have rights.

At the range they had me show the eurocucks how to use the Beretta cause they didn't speak English. Once they know you're not fucking retarded you can shoot like a normal person

Where i was in university we had the Antifa problem where stupid retards came over to shoot and asked to take the range guns to their home. Always some open Antifa members you find on favebook after checking ID IMAO. I see that as a prove that those members might be real retards. Next month im in bavaria and got no range buddies anymore, so getting the 1st contact kind of sucks. Not really. .45 ACP is more expensive than 9, and 1911s (especially cheap ones) tend to be more finicky than modern polymer guns.

They’re still good guns, though, and if a 1911 is what you want, then get it.

your first gun should be something that you wont end up spending another 500 dollars trying to 'upgrade'. get one of those unissued brazillian APXs that AIM surplus has for 300 bucks, maybe buy the 30 dollar competition spring from beretta but otherwise the gun has like zero aftermarket so you wont be tempted to waste money.

I like the feel of them, they make them in FDE so I was thinking of getting those to go back to the gun’s original color

I was also thinking wood. They can’t be too textury or it’ll meat tenderize my soft officer worker hands during an extended shooting session

I feel like they clash aesthetically. If you don't want too aggressive, VZ has some nice medium bite textures in their lineup. Get a set with the super scoop. Try the 320s, Frags, or Slants.

I like super aggressive texture even when it does tenderize my hands. I like the Simonich Gunners but they aren't different enough from the factory Operator 2s to be worth switching for me.

The ones you have on there have those angular cuts and muh hexagons and just... Meh. They might look better on a Nighthawk Envoy except the ones that come on it look better anyway.

Just let the finish wear naturally imo. I spent hours hand polishing the slide on my first 1911 because the holster wear triggered my tism and it was cool but it showed scratches much more than the bead blast on the DW does. I love a stainless gun though.

a reason (their work culture is horrific and it's not unusual to find single women over 30 with no partners in the last 5 years).

Yeah this too. A lot of them don't like using birth control because of previous scandals over the quality and effectiveness of domestic products offered and subsidized by the government vs more expensive imported pills. So a rubber is probably the safest option

If you want not whores the clubs in Seomyeon and KSU are good spots for hunting. Busan women (and men) are kinda fucked in the head tho so be careful.

Texas street across from Busan station has a ton of Russian whores if that's your style, just don't be like my cuck friend who told the manager in Russian he's not here for the women. They looked angry and he looked like a fag.

Firstly, there's no eternal hell in the Bible. Eternal punitive Hell is a pagan belief that seems to originate from Ancient Greeks. Secondly, there is essentially no evidence that seppuku necessarily takes you to hell, and any biblical example you can bring up is always unrelated. Christians just love being slaves and suffering, so death to them is a sin if you could have suffered more in life.

I tell everyone the same thing. Always put your bag or case on the table first, take anything you need out, then put the bag away.
Dont bend over to grab shit from a bag or case.
If you bend down you absolutely WILL make an RSO panic, implying you've been shot or are injured somehow, no matter what. They later either laugh it off if they see you were just doing something normal, or get mad if they see you're making them panic because you're being a shit.

They might not ever even tell you or articulate it or even be aware of it themselves, but their attitude towards you is definitely improved if you follow that rule.

I find that they get sucked off by the worst people, like europoors who consider it a european pistol and it's "superior" to the 1911 and people who keep "what should have been" to it replacing the 1911.

I went from a 92 Compact to a PX4, the PX4 is smaller in all the places that matter like barrel length and width. I find the PX4 Compact shoots extraordinary well for it's size, in shooting I don't see that much of a difference from a PX4 Compact and it's fullsize model or a fullsize 92. Personally I can't take advantage of how well it shoots without a dot, like what's the point of a softer return to zero if I have irons?

Will a long slide beat up an optic?
I just ordered a nearly blank 7 inch slide from fusion and I was thinking of getting it cut later for either a nighthawk plate system or an atlas plate, but I was wondering if the reciprocating mass of the slide would rattle the optic too hard.

Look into MBX mags for .45 2011s or atlas internals in staccato style tubes. Adds +2 or 3

Still, it’s a 25% increase over a 1911 even if it was a 10 round. Pic related holds 12+1

But while I have no hate in my heart for fuddy-five, there's also the fact that 10mm benefits far more from the extended barrel length, so that's why I'm choosing it for my longslide project.

If you don’t want to fuck with sear and hammer shit, Nighthawk makes these drop in trigger cassettes that work in 1911s and 2011. Modern Warriors has the black versions at 35% off, so 300 to 200 dollars for a true drop in 1911 trigger.

The backstory is they were invented by a competition shooter who’s very active on the forums. Nighthawk partnered with him to make it a production item, they can go like 80k rounds before they need service. I think if it went mainstream it could modernize 1911s, since all the main trigger components are now in a single easily replaceable housing. Most critical tolerances are now controlled in the cassette and not dependent on the frame.

It’s not as good as a real gunsmith tuned trigger but is more than good enough for a drop in. People have good luck with cheaper EGW or Atlas pre fitted hammer and sear combinations but some final tuning with those kits are still on the user unlike this one.

The hammer is slightly narrower to account for the housing so it kind of looks different

I have two guns with it, great optics system, when they say it takes 30 seconds to swap between plates or irons they really mean it.

Downsides
>expensive as fuck, the cut starts at 350-450, they require an refinishing of the slide, you're like 500+ dollars in and don't even have an optic plate yet
>plates are 150 dollars each and in my case require a little bit of fitting to get to slide onto the optic rails
>optic BUIS may not be zeroed (but are close enough), if you buy a plate with an optic ask them to do a test target with the optic plate's BUIS (extra fee)
>Nighthawk is the only place offering the cut

The cost looks like the only thing prohibiting me. Everything else is completely perfect.
If I don't go with it, should I go with C&H or with Atlas? I've found services that'll give me the cut and the plate for about the same price, but the difference I see so far is design
>C&H's plate has studs in the screw holes for the rmr mount, meaning less horizontal shear on the screws
>Atlas's plate looks like it has a better and more sturdy interface with the slide than C&H's cross.

Have a ruger gp100 in 10mm
Have a glock 30 in 45

Both of these guns are collecting dust. I leave the g30 in my truck most of the time, but I think I'm taking it off of my CCW. the ruger was just a meme. Its a nice gun but i am already sick of using moon clips.

What if I convert both? Glockstore sells a conversion kit from 45 to 10mm. I might just sell the ruger since its way more work to convert it.

You can get Dawson DPO cuts for 200 dollars without a plate, a cheap shitty CH plate would be like 70 bucks so for 270 dollars you have an optic cut. The Nighthawk cut, 270 dollars doesn’t even get you the cut.

I think the efficacy of ports depends heavily on the ammunition choice, without higher pressure ammo it's 100% a meme. The port design matters too

shoot enough and one day shit will hit your in the face, ricochet or debris from your gun will hit you. Never shoot without eyeprotection.

I had a gun that had a tendency to throw the last round into my face and it has hit me in the eye

What can you tell me about the 92 SB Compact? I've been looking for a 92 with no lawyer writing on it and one is coming up in an auction near me. Does it take regular 92 mags?

92SB compact should take 92 compact mags, the new mecgar compact mags have 16 round capacity (3 more than the original)

92SB compact is pre US military trials IIRC. It has a thinner trigger guard and with the pre-F (F for federal acceptance) parts weren't drop in compatible as they are today. IIRC LTT makes no guarantees shit will drop in and work like they do for every other gun with the SB.

Is it really possible that a 9mm casing will go towards my eye, break these glasses, and harm me? Seems absolutely impossible. If I were shooting a bigger gun I'd probably think twice, but I think these'll do for now.

In any case I'm honestly asking. If you all think I'm being retarded I can return these at no cost and get something else.

It's not the casing you need to worry about ya dangus, it's ricochets, catastrophic failures resulting in exploding barrels or chambers, etc
I've been hit with ricochet birdshot and if I hadn't had good eyepro I'd have lost an eye

Can you get that ugly hoe the fuck out of this thread? All you're doing is making yourself and Berettas seem fucking retarded. No one in their right mind posts the way you do! You haunt more than anyone.

>>63939642
Perhaps it's a deflection, but it's preceded by an insecure bad faith proposal. The only thing to do to such a bad faith substitute for an argument is to deflect it.

>I've been hit with ricochet birdshot and if I hadn't had good eyepro I'd have lost an eye
And retards ask why I don't like ranges

>>63939542
You should wear eyepro, although I think even a pair of plastic sunglasses suffice. You do still have to worry about the casings burning your face, which will happen eventually. Safety goggles are less than $5 at Wal Mart or Home Depot. In fact, I'm going to chastise you for not already having a pair of safety goggles. Don't you do any kind of work with power tools?
