>>63937982If you don’t want to fuck with sear and hammer shit, Nighthawk makes these drop in trigger cassettes that work in 1911s and 2011. Modern Warriors has the black versions at 35% off, so 300 to 200 dollars for a true drop in 1911 trigger.
The backstory is they were invented by a competition shooter who’s very active on the forums. Nighthawk partnered with him to make it a production item, they can go like 80k rounds before they need service. I think if it went mainstream it could modernize 1911s, since all the main trigger components are now in a single easily replaceable housing. Most critical tolerances are now controlled in the cassette and not dependent on the frame.

>>63938065It’s not as good as a real gunsmith tuned trigger but is more than good enough for a drop in. People have good luck with cheaper EGW or Atlas pre fitted hammer and sear combinations but some final tuning with those kits are still on the user unlike this one.
The hammer is slightly narrower to account for the housing so it kind of looks different
>>63938065>>63938085At 300 dollars they’re way too expensive compared to a EGW or Atlas kit. At 200 dollars at Modern Warriors with the discount code “Clearance” they make sense

>expensive as fuck, the cut starts at 350-450, they require an refinishing of the slide, you're like 500+ dollars in and don't even have an optic plate yet >plates are 150 dollars each and in my case require a little bit of fitting to get to slide onto the optic rails >optic BUIS may not be zeroed (but are close enough), if you buy a plate with an optic ask them to do a test target with the optic plate's BUIS (extra fee)>Nighthawk is the only place offering the cut
>>63938546The cost looks like the only thing prohibiting me. Everything else is completely perfect.
If I don't go with it, should I go with C&H or with Atlas? I've found services that'll give me the cut and the plate for about the same price, but the difference I see so far is design
>C&H's plate has studs in the screw holes for the rmr mount, meaning less horizontal shear on the screws>Atlas's plate looks like it has a better and more sturdy interface with the slide than C&H's cross.
I have an idea maybe you guys can help me out
Have a ruger gp100 in 10mm
Have a glock 30 in 45
Both of these guns are collecting dust. I leave the g30 in my truck most of the time, but I think I'm taking it off of my CCW. the ruger was just a meme. Its a nice gun but i am already sick of using moon clips.
What if I convert both? Glockstore sells a conversion kit from 45 to 10mm. I might just sell the ruger since its way more work to convert it.
>>63938621C&H has a bad track record with the actual plates themselves from what I heard.
The Staccato DPO cut is available from a few shops and has a wide aftermarket from the OEM Dawson Precision plates to Forward Controls and others.

230gr .45s through the ported barrel don't feel that different. 185s are louder than usual and fun as hell!

>>63938944If you intent to shoot optics only it doesn’t make much sense compared to a Dawson DPO cut or other. You can get Dawson DPO cuts for 200 dollars without a plate, a cheap shitty CH plate would be like 70 bucks so for 270 dollars you have an optic cut. The Nighthawk cut, 270 dollars doesn’t even get you the cut.

92SB compact is pre US military trials IIRC. It has a thinner trigger guard and with the pre-F (F for federal acceptance) parts weren't drop in compatible as they are today. IIRC LTT makes no guarantees shit will drop in and work like they do for every other gun with the SB.
