can you put a piece of double-sided tape right there and put a picatiny rail on it?
Anonymous No.63941202 >>63941209
You could. It wouldnt stay there very long, but you could.

Maybe if it's an airsoft replica, and not like holding zero would matter then anyway. I suppose you might be able rough it up and use JB Weld or something of that order, though it'd be a shitty bubba job on a gun that pricey.

You sure? Modern ones can hold up to 15b.

It's the measurement of weight and power. That's why animal bite force and human punch power is measured in lb. And recoil is like a little punch to your shoulder.

Attach it on the side of the scope mount to the scope using zip ties instead.

But they aren't. They're measured in ft/lb.

Wouldn't a barrel clamp work better?
Anonymous No.63941558
>>63941448
It's not. They will hold longer than any double sided tape, and you will always have extra zipties with you and easily reachable in your fighting load for detainee handling anyway, and they weigh nothing, don't mine getting wet, hot, cold or dirty, are useful for many things and you can use almost any number of extra ones beyond 2 to get a more durable hold, so if it starts to fail at a bad time you can repair it almost instantly on the spot.

>I don’t shoot guns and have certainly never shot an aug: the thread
That’s where the gas piston is. It gets hotter than shit. The tape will melt off after maybe 10 rounds.

The aug sucks, it’s a curiousity and a historical piece at this point.

I owned an aug A3M2 and sold it
It was nothing special, I shot it a bunch and ran it at a few competitions. the manual of arms is irritating even for a bullpup, crossbolt safety sucks, and the foregrip is just okay, but you cannot assume an alternate firing grip without burning the shit out of yourself. The absolute minimum of rail space meant that I couldn’t run it at night matches effectively, and shooting through a VTAC in stress positions was nearly impossible because of barrel deflection
Yeah, barrel quick change is fun and cool and whatever, I don’t really care because I’m not shooting barrels to the point I need to change them live on the firing line due to heat

with better triggers and collapsible stocks (notice how your pic has to extend the stock all the way in order to make a point)
Anonymous No.63943156
>>63941209

different weight distribution, its like taking something rated to hold 50lb, but shaking it & having it come off anyway
you're dealing with the weight along with imparted momentum, and surface area needing to be taken into account in the weight rating
something could hold a thousand lb, but it doesn't mean anything if its on a 1" surface

you'd be better off jb welding it on, it might hold a flashlight but I wouldn't do it.
idk anything about those but if it's aluminum you'd probably be better off paying a gunsmith to tig it on but that'd require refinishing to be done correctly.

You're either a liar or an absolute pussy. I carried one for over a decade in both peacekeeping and wartime environments, fired possibly millions of rounds through multiple different variants, utilizing a number of grips and stances, with my preferred one being fore grip up and holding it similar to an are without a fore-grip.
Not ONCE have I ever burnt myself on one. EVER

I mean we established OP is either a trolling faggot or a legit retard but more importantly:
>Sure, dude, go ahead and try it.
This is the actual finishing blow for OP. If OP actually owned this gun, he could just fucking do it. Tape is cheap, a rando piece of pic rail is cheap, he could have just gone and done it. And taken a slowmo video for that matter, turned it into a webm, and made a funny old-style /k/ bubba thread and everyone could have had a good time.

But not, instead it's "let me make a thread that doesn't require me to do anything or actually own guns" yet again. The absolute sad state of /k/.
