Should I get a Springfield Saint Victor for a decent but cheaper AR? Online reviews are good and I like that it has iron sights. Only gun I own is a nugget. But I was in the US Army a long time ago and have experience shooting M16s (yes I was in before M4s were widely adopted).

I really like it. In fact, all things considered, it's probably my favorite off-the-shelf AR.

Ive got the regular cheaper model saint.
Did the initial clean and lube when purchased and haven't touched it since. Probably got 1000 +- rounds thru it without a single malfunction yet.
Was gonna see how long i could stretch it out before it started malfunctioning

I like the handguard.Wonder who makes it for them?

If you want a AR pistol with ambi controls from a company that's at least kinda redeemed its name that badly sure but sounds like you should prioritize a good CCW handgun first.

I thought BCM only made the light weight poly hand guards. What else is BCM-ist and what isn't? Personally I'm just saving up for a BCM branded BCM

I don’t carry, just want a gun for home for now. Might get another one to keep in the car later.

I hope you also intend to get a decent safe to bolt down in your car too then unless you live in a super safe gated community with it's own local police force.
>I don’t carry
Not even a little pocket 380, why not? Just curious.

I mostly go to work and run errands. When I go hiking in the mountains or desert, I have my nugget with me. Just never felt the need.

lmfao, no, they fucking are not, retard. It has BCM stock, grip, and trigger guard. That's IT. Nothing about the rifle that actually MATTERS is BCM.

BCM.
And it's good that you like the handguard because it's very difficult to replace.

NO.

Get a BCM Recce 16 upper.
A PSA lower (it literally does not matter)
A trigger group of your liking

Done.

Great advice but judging by the OP pic seems he's more interested in getting a 11.5" or a 12.5" AR 'pistol' instead.

What if I'm lazy and just want a complete lower out of the box? I'm not particularly a trigger snob anyway since I don't mind shooting older gen Glocks or double action only revolvers.
