Petersoli's own site doesn't say how many rounds it holds, but midway says it's 3+1 so I guess they figured that was as short as they could go with .45-70

the receiver and fore end look great. I don't love the wood choice, I don't love the buttplate and I don't love how short the barrel is, even though I recognize the flat rubber buttplate is superior to the crescent buttplate and a 18 inch barrel makes sense since it's modern 9mm and not black powder .44-40

There's no reason to get a dedicated board gun since hillbillies use literally fucking everything to kill boars LEGALLY. At least with bears you have to consider what activities you are doing and the size of bears you're dealing with, hardcast/monometal 9mm is fine for the lower 48 doebeit

the 1873 was never chambered in .45LC or .357mag/.38 special. As far as I'm concerned if the gun isn't .44-40, .38-40, .32-20 or .22 short then there is no difference between 9mm and that round in terms of historical accuracy
Why would cheap ammo be a bad thing? If someone was buying a serious hunting gun, they would be buying an 1892 action or a marlin 1894 action, not an 1873

i do like levergats because i like marlin and i like the lever action itself. its not more of a dedicated anything gun though.

the henry Winchester 88/BLR/finnwolf clones look so fucking ugly though.
but yeah any seethe about 9mm in a lever gun is dumb when no lever action was chambered for .44 mag, .357 mag or .45 long colt until like the late 60s specifically for cowboy larping (well I guess .44 mag was for hunting but .357 and .45 LC were primarily added and sold to cowboy larpers, even if you hunt with .357 they only started that chambering due to cowboy larpers)
The only thing those rounds have in common with the old cowboy rounds is the rim and the names sound similar .38 special sounds like .38-44 but .38-44 used .40 cal bullets.
plus it isn't like all of the classic rounds were rimmed. .35 rem was rimless

I've seen the one that takes glock mags that looks like ass and that's for bongs and other cuck countries with shitty gun laws.
as for the rest of the shit, I guess it's based off of like red dead or something. Like henry absolutely took over the lever action market because they filled a niche with the .22s and then marlin went to shit. Now you have ruger and smith jumping back in the market along with all the tacticool shit so I guess the leversales must be up. We know AR sales are down and we had that whole TFBTV thing about how mossberg sells more retarded tacticool shit than they sell normal guns so I guess it's boomers who want cowboy guns, hence smith coming in with just cowboy action shooting calibers and .45-70 and mall ninjas who have too much money but don't need another AR. Like the same market as whoever is buying all those turkshit and italian semi auto shotguns

The barrel's not long enough, 17" still looks goofy and out of balance, and with the threaded muzzle and top ejecting receiver this thing has barely 14" of sight radius. A can would even out its looks and balance and that's a perfect rail for a scout scope, but a lever gun should be at its best without accessories. 18.5" is the sweet spot.

10/22s have killed more wild hogs than every other method put together. It's what professional cullers use. Trap the whole herd in a pen, then just walk around the perimeter methodically shooting them in the head.

Honestly someone should just try and get a company like Woox or whoever else to start making wood M-lok handguards since we're in the new era of of tacticool lever gats especially if you live in a B& state. Also that's hideous but I can judged to much as someone who's planning on getting a Marlin Dark series in 30-30 as an all around legal to hunt in most states rifle.

No, feral pig is pretty foul and I seriously question if you've ever had it. There are all sorts of things I wouldn't do with it and I'm always conscious of brucellosis when butchering it.
The only way I've made it consistently edible is brining for 3 days and then cooking it in a heavy, non-salt seasoning.
Made alright tacos and soups.

Again, if you think wild boar tastes bad, you have a fucking skill issue.

Kill and process the animal as quickly as possible. Hang and age, marinate it, dry or wet brine, etc. And buy a grinder and a smoker. Make some wild boar ragu, make some ribs and sausages, add it to burgers, tacos, sandwiches, whatever.
There are a million ways to prepare these things, theyโ€™ve been eaten all over the world for thousands of years. Just use google.

I was looking at austrian gun laws because of /vt/ (I'm American, not a yurocuck) and austria in yurop also has this weird fucking thing where pump action shotguns are regulated harder than other types of shotguns. Like they specifically banned and confiscated pump guns in 1994 and they have 3 categories of guns, C, B, A. C doesn't need a liocence and is like break action shotguns and rifles and manual repeating rifles. B has a shall issue liocence and has handguns, "repeating shotguns" and semi auto rifles and Cat A which is basically unobtainable other than cans which is "automatic firearms, Tanks, suppressors and pump action shotguns, knuckledusters, black jacks and steel rods"
idk if "repeating shotgun" means semi auto or like bolt and lever

Chiappa does modern levergats better if you want an Italian levergun, which is the only worthwhile option outside of American leverguns.

I thought chiappa was brazilian. Also fucking weird that petersoli and chiappa both make 1886s when those weren't very popular back when winchster made them

Are you thinking of Rossi? They make leverguns in Brazil and they're about what you pay for, which isn't much.

Pedersoli's 1886's are generally preferable. They also supplied Uberti the recievers when they did their 86 runs.
Chiappas are weird, I have owned several 1892s at this point. Chiappa is the only Italian maker that does 1892's, so Cimmaron, Taylor etc are all Armi Sport(Chiappa).
I base my opinion of their 92, they tried to redesign the cartridge guides and especially the ejector's face which ended up making them really intolerant of any bullet that isn't 1.6" and round nose.(I have modified them + enough that a 1.64" WFN will feed).
Rossi's 92s are pretty tolerant and the old Browning B92 Miroku's will at least feed different bullet shapes provided the cartridges are 1.6" or less.

I reload Norma hollowpoints and they feed perfectly fine. Only ones that don't feed are old stubby bullets designed for revolver shooting.

>game tastes le bad
Bubbas fucking suck at cooking. Even throwing some backstrap on a grill is somehow too hard. They get into hunting because they want to kill something, not because they want to eat it.

I've heard of some Rossi's not feeding 38 special, that's not universal but I wouldn't try to feed them wadcutters for example.. I only have one 357 Mag lever gun and it's not a 92.

"Like" is a strong term. They make them, but other Italians don't necessarily buy them.
99% of their firearm market is the US, the only thing that really sells in Europe are their black power replicas, for obvious reasons.
