A Mossberg 500 is a solid shotgun that'll last a long time assuming you dont live near saltwater or place with stupid humidity like Houston or Miami.

I used to shoot sporting clays with Briley ported chokes on an O/U with 32" barrels. The improvement was minor but noticeable. Just be sure to clean the fouling out of them every couple of hundred of shells and you should be good to go.

You can get a 590 Retro and take the heat shield off (or leave it on). Should hold up better. They also have the 590 Mariner model which is built for high salinity/high humidity.

Is there anyone on here who has had GOOD experience with Turkish shotguns? I want to know if the quality is there or save three more paychecks and get a Beretta A400? I feel like there is a diminished return after like $800.

For semi-autos $800 is most certainly not the point of diminishing returns.

Just keep your eyes peeled for anything made by Breda (also sold under Sauer). They can often be found on sale for the 5-600 price point and are OG Italian makers. They're trying to get into the US market under the Breda name currently, but have been making guns sold here under the Sauer badge for a number of years now. It's turkshit pricing for Benelli quality with upgrades over Benelli's counterparts out of the gate
Anonymous No.63962670 [Report] >>63962699
>>63962599
Depends on how much you are going to use it. If you're only going to shoot it a couple of times a year, get the Turkshit and it will probably be okay for awhile. If you are going to be shooting regularly, go for the Beretta.

Yeah. Well the modern bluing is the issue with rust resistance, it's not what it used to be due to environmental regulations and it just doesn't hold up like other coatings. You could try to hunt down a 500 riot gun from the 70's or whatever.

You may also want to look into the basic 1301 comp. It retails for cheaper than the A400. I'm looking at the Breda website right now and the least expensive I can find is their security model for $1600, which is about $150 more than the 1301 comp.

Those are MSRP prices. I paid under $600 for my SL-5 3gun. It literally is an upgraded Benelli M2. about once or twice a year you'll see them go on sale for around that much. Obviously the swankier wood furnished bird guns tend not to dip as much.

They have blued guns but they don't use the same process they once did. They used to be "machine blued", the current process is hot salt bluing.

It's not impossible to do good bluing anymore, it's just more expensive than the average customer is willing to pay.

I might shoot a little skeet lol

Lmao Bret went "I'll dust this pair!" didn't then cut to a pair he did, 100% he edited all that video

I shot Eaton recently for selection and the English open. The ground is loverly but they need to fire every single legacy referee for the skeet layout for competitions, they have inherited a pile of shit with them. The ground is amazing and really will be a theme park for shooters. But if the refereeing is shit then I don't want to shoot there.

As you can see from the video shooting orange clays, for English skeet is not the norm, its for ISSF, they don't care about skeet only the International version.

They haven't sprayed the bank at the back - or did and torrential rain wash it away after it was baked dry. So orange clays against a tan background was a retarded idea and to host the National team selection, the English Skeet open and have it like that - trying to run before they could walk, but theres money to be made and they need the money - Syd's put in about £3-4 million in the place

I know, I have one. I got a 28 inch barrel too. the checkering on the factory stock on mine was kind of meh and the depending on what you are doing the stock is kind of long. Like it's a good length for shooting birds or clays but it's kind of long for an HD stock and might force you to blade.
You are better of buying the retrograde field and then buying an 18.5 inch barrel too if you want that than to buy the 18.5 inch barrel

You can go to Ithica's website and order directly from the factory. They'll ship to FFL's in CA. A new model 37 is going to cost you over a grand. That's insane for a pump action shotgun, but that's your best solution unless you move.
