Would this be a retarded purchase?
I'm tired of buying shit guns being a poorfag. Should I just save up for an SP5 or is it just an overpriced meme gun? It would probably cost more than my current collection but I suppose it would actually be something that holds it's value better than the jewish confetti I use to buy it. Am I wrong on this? Should I just buy a shitload of ammo and practice with my poorfag guns?
Anonymous No.63967496
yes. i've shot HK civi mp5s and they feel and shoot exactly the same as the century ones.

3k buys you a high-end AR of your choice, meanwhile with that thing you STILL have to buy a 300 dollar brace/stock, a 200 dollar (shitty) claw-mount rail and a bunch of 50 dollar magazines.

I have a Paki and an SP5 and while the Paki *did* require some troubleshooting to get it to work flawlessly (the major culprit was the old geometry ejector it came with), it now works just as well as the HK.
Also I was an early adopter and today's clones should run just fine out of the box.
There's no functional difference, just some nicer welds and better fit+finish (and maybe some % in barrel life but let's be real here, if you're waffling over a $3k purchase, you're not shooting the gun out in your lifetime).

NTA but I hear that a lot about both Turk and Paki; pretty much both have the same minimal issues and easy fixes, then they're fine; makes it hard to choose. Wonder which has a slight edge. Barrel threading and lug quality (concentricity, etc) is the only thing I think one may have over the other if at all; that would be hard to measure without a large sample size of both, though.

Yes, it is very dumb.

The gun itself is fine and all but if you are poor, 3k is a lot of money to waste on a PCC. That's a lot of money you can be spending on ammunition, training worthwhile upgrades to your existing ARs that you'll take months saving up just to get a neat trinket to impress people who you will never meet.

There are cheaper MP5 clones that will do the job, but won't impress people as much. There are MUCH cheaper PCCs that will sling 9mm marginally better than a regular pistol and still be tons of fun to shoot.
No PCC is really worth spending thousands of dollars on unless that money means nothing to you. They are mostly over hyped range toys.

If you are still trying to rationalize saving up 3k to impress people on /k/ you need to stop and rethink how you are approaching life. Buy things for yourself, not because other people might think they are cool.

They are by far the most cost effective and readily available option on the market. Nothing else is even close.
If pockets are deep then sure, it can make sense to branch out to more niche weapon systems but for a poorfag an AR is the alpha and the omega. A cheap fun PCC on the side might make sense, but not one that's $900-3000+

You'll grow up eventually.
The more you shoot, the more you'll realize it's the most widely adopted rifle in the non-poor world for good reason. Then you'll be able to get over being such a dipshit and recognize it for its qualities as a rifle instead of as an artifact of your identity politics.

no he's right. Guns basically lose half of their value the minute they touch the customers hands unless they are genuine mil-surp. The only way you are getting any money for a gun that compares to what you spent is if you seal it in a climate controlled case for 100 years.

They make FRTs for those now so its definitely a great time to buy, though i recall the build is involved. I think you buy a new receiver. Yes its pricey. Yes an AR15 would be more useful. Also consider $3k is entry level night vision and thermal territory.

Gen 3 has largest aftermarket and JAG clones due to patent expiration, that's the reason its cited. Buy whatever you like.

???

By all accounts the Turk clones are โ€œjust as goodโ€ with lower quality finish and QC. The parts that arenโ€™t easily replaceable will probably run for just about as long as the HKs. That being said, I donโ€™t trust Turkish or Pakistani weapons, which is why I also bought a Benelli M4 instead of a Turknelli. If you have the money to get the real thing you should absolutely get it. If youโ€™re just scraping up enough to get $1,000 then get the clone because itโ€™ll scratch the itch

Century/PTR clones are just as good and if you've got $$$$ to throw at something MP5-shaped, Dakota Tactical clones are better.
Unless you already have a PVS-14 I can't recommend in good faith spending that kind of money on any gun when $2000 or so will get you practically whatever you want.

Gen 1+2 have nostalgia/retro appeal.
Gen 3 has an extremely robust aftermarket because the patents have expired and a substantial track record while still having the option of a light rail.
Gen 5 is the current thing that Glock GmbH is supporting.
Gen 4...

The CX4 is (was) great because it looks cool and the straight blowback action makes it useful for training intermediate caliber recoil management at half the price.

I've been leaning toward the $1k-$1.5k area after the last couple days. Just worried about the bolt gap thing I've been hearing about. IDK if it's just some overblown shit or not. Looks like MAC imports them as well.

I would like to SBR it. I'm thinking the full auto(ish) path depends on which particular clone because some seem to require more tedious work for conversion than others.
