India would be higher but they're apparently deeply, deeply retarded in the way that only thirdies can be. US is top dog still by a long shot. China an obvious 2nd place mostly because everyone else is either too small or too dog shit to count. France and the UK have big budgets and very technologically advanced militaries but small numbers. If we lump the EU together then they're easily #2. They'd stomp Russia immediately despite their laziness militarily (the muh Russian Threat is just a gibs thing) and the tech edge easily beats China currently. But you can't count the EU together as a single force outside of defensive actions. Similar to the Holy Roman Empire. Unstoppable defensively, but never able to mobilize resources for an offense due to bickering.
In 5-10 years I think US is #1 still, China #2, and EU #3 led by Germs or Poland. Probably Germany since Poland is a slavic thirdie+++ country. France's edge comes from literally just trying (versus the rest of Europe). UK is fucked economically and won't recover any time soon. Italy's military is actually excellent when you consider the size of their budget btw.
