I have a shoulder holster myself for my full size hg, but it was significantly more effort and more expensive vs "put on belt, clip on holster, that's it". And open or semi/conditionally-open are a niche in the market anyway, because the vast majority of people carrying want to (for good reason) or are literally legally required to conceal carry instead.

Just get one of those holster plates that drop your holster down a few inches from the belt, they do the same thing and you don't have to strap them to your leg. that's the only option for open carry.

I run a drop leg rig because I shoot competitions with big/long pistols while wearing armor, that’s it
Drawing a MK23 from a lv2 holster with no drop or a little drop is fucking cancer.
If I happen to be running my P99AS for some reason, I’ll swap the drop rig for a zero drop hanger because I can scoop draw it without hanging it up on shit.

Wearing full front and back plus side plates and soft cummerbund armor, with a back panel and pattern 84 placard, plus a full gun belt and drop leg holster I had no problem driving or getting in and out of my car. The only thing that actually hangs up or makes driving hard is having something thick at the 6:00 position in your belt.

If you get mad at drop leg rigs, you’re probably hung up in high speed hypebeast tier 1 larp shit which is fine but you’re gay. They’ve got a place, and that place is certain configurations of full kit. Full drop leg with a compact or service size pistol and nothing but a belt rig is stupid though.

The one thing we can all agree on is that chest carry is the dumbest possible thing you can do.
