Missile carrier-infantry. Basically VLS cells in a backpack that some poor saps carry, but they aren't the ones shooting them. Platoon/Company level FO just clicks on targets on the map or paints them with a drone and the boxes fire indepently. They are man-carried so every conceivable position can have their own missile battery. I also think a VLS cell mounted in an M113 would be cool and good.

The majority of manned aircraft should be retired and replaced by unmanned analogues. Exceptions would be a limited number of squadrons for use on missions where mission kills by ewar are unacceptable. For the US as an example would be the F-22's, some F-35 squadrons, the B-2's or B-21's.

The B29 bomber was shown to carry 44000lb at one point.
A 40mm grenade weighs about half a pound. It has a kill radius of approximately 5-10 meters.
Rig something up so you have a honeycomb pattern full of 40mm grenades, on each side of the plane. Each of these honeycombs will carry 22000 40mm grenades, or a close approximation so they'll explode on impact but not detonate sooner, and a bunch of electricaly controlled trapdoors to hold them in there.
Release these in such a way that, in a perfect world, they would all fall 5 meters apart. This will create a roughly 5-10 meter wide strip of destruction, 220km long.
Fly a few dozen of these planes in a row, staggered a little, and it should reliably pave a line of death long and wide enough to give any enemy the heeby jeebies.
Put a gram of fentanyl in every bomb. They'll wish you dropped sarin instead.

Instead of having a few dozen large ships in an area which can be hit by missiles and cost billions of dollars to build just seed missile fields on the ocean floor around potential adversaries. When needed a signal is sent to let them rise to the surface then launch at their target. Can also use anti-ship torpedo variants which can glide decent distances before even using propulsion as they rise to the surface

>It demonstrated clearly the north was ran by people who don't give a fuck about their own countrymen, as a civilized people would have wanted to reassure southerners it was time to heal this country and move forward, not cheer for further suffering.

You deserved it then and deserve it again one thousand fold. Go ahead and preach to me about civilization while perpetrating the most barbaric and widespread system of chattel slavery the world has ever known, and then cry about how you were mistreated when the consequences arrived. Reconstruction failed because it was sabotaged out of spite from the South, not from the North. You were given an incredibly lenient deal for perpetrating the most monstrous loss of American lives in the country's history, and repaid that generosity with 170 years of arrogance, ignorance, and racial hatred. The only mistake that based Sherman ever made was not going far enough. If we had truly decimated the south to the extent they deserved, and completely destroyed them ideologically, it might have extinguished the original sin that ended up festering and ruining the country later on.

>That same disregard for the dignity of rural people has continued on to today and it's at the roots of why your only choices for politicians are two flavors of the same faggot lawyer species who care more about appearances than policy.

You should not make excuses for ignorant trailer trash on the basis of how their ancestors were treated. Ignorance by circumstance was an excuse in the 1850s, it is not in the age of the internet. They only have themselves to blame for voting again and again for politicians that openly flaunt policies that fuck poor rural people. That insincere partisan elite has always been there, but there used to be a time when ignorant country folk had the humble wisdom to know to stay out of politics. Empowering them was the actual problem.

What did you Confederates do in Kansas to unarmed Yankee civilians?

Also when you secede you stop being their "own countrymen" and became a hostile nation. Hostile nations tend to get their shit pushed in by actual Americans.

Having seceded, you became as American as an Apache scalp hunter.

Again, we already have the M72 LAW, which is very easy to carry and use, and which can carry a far fatter payload a lot further than a 40x46mm.

Just make more of them and make more people in a squad carry one along, they're really handy weapons. Maybe also start making them with a saltwater counter charge so that you can snuff almost all the backblast, better for soldier brain health and makes them more flexible as weapons.

I don't think an attempt at small scale saturation bombing would be useful, since everyone is just carrying one or two, they'd need to make their shots count better. Really, M72 LAWs or similar would do this better, and would also be better at disabling light vehicle armor and fortifications and structures.

>>63991396
40x46mm isn't like a mortar shell or anything, but assuming you make sure to aim them, they're enough to work with for direct infantry combat, and if you've got something emplaced feeding them with belts then they can make up for their mild payload through volume (though typically such weapons end up using further reaching 40x51mm MV and 40x54mm HV grenades).

There's also six shot 40x46mms you can carry with you, though that tends to preclude you from carrying a proper rifle or carbine, so there's some mixed feelings on them. Also you'd still want to properly aim your shots with those anyway.

We do a little logistics-maxxing by readjusting rocket sizes and using modern rocket fuels.

30 guided top-attack 120mm rockets with over 90km range fit in a HIMARS pod
2 pods fit in an unmanned autonomous HIMARS launcher
4 VBAT scout drones with hyperspectral sensors, 12 hours flight time each so there are always at least 2 in the air, and over 90km range datalinks back to a local radio mast fit in the bed of a cargo truck on the same chassis
3 men per team so 1 person can be awake all the time

The result:

1 cargo truck with 3 men in the cab, 4 category 3 drones flying faster and higher than FPVs of you set them to (2 always in the air scouting), and chaining the drones in a relay to a disposable antenna which chains back to their cozy campout in a warehouse for zero fera of counterbattery
3 more autonomous truck launchers with 180 supersonic shots guided enough to hit moving targets but big enough to punch through most buildings or field bunkers

All this with an over 90km radius range, no need for suppressive fire, food/water resupply, or even a significant amount of gas; easy to hide just four small civilian-sized trucks, and one logistics PLS with a trailer can drop off 8x more pods at a pre-designated point in one trip.

Total logistics dominance in an artillery plus scouting package more compact than a standard infantry platoon's vehicle train! Plus think of the accounting benefits of hiring 3 guys instead of 30-40. And that's not all! Since it's just 3, you can edit the standards so you get the three smart guys from the platoon and ban all the retards.

Would be a great motherbase submarine for coastal operations and could be used for covert movement of high value assets. Very easily could be used as a special mission submarine for sabotage or intelligence gathering missions too.

Call it Outer Heaven (or Waterworld, kek).

Military logistics, motor pool, engineering. Probably save the US army one in 12 engineering corps and allow them to deploy engineers in cbrn to halt enemy armour in the death zone.

My rent is $490 this week, that's what it will cost you. Given the cost of a single trained engineer, I think it's an idea worth hearing

Alright, hear me out:
We make mines, but cooler.
You basically bury a barrel in some territory that you want to protect, lay a cable for power and add a tiny camera that sticks out of it. It's movable and weather proof. It's also retractable. About 50 of those barrels are connected to a hub, which is manned by three to four poor fucks that sit in a little bunker and wait for movement sensors to go off.
Once that happens, they move the cameras and confirm it's actually an enemy. Depending on the threat they can employ different things from those barrels including but not limited to drones and grenade launchers. About half of the barrels get an additional trip wire that explodes if someone opens it without the correct signal beforehand.
Where's my 20 billion MIC deal?

This plus existing drones and smart munitions is likely the way things will go. Expensive smart turrets and drones are still much cheaper than live soldiers. The conventional battlefield, from the videos I've seen, is absolutely terrifying with just FPV drones and laser-guided munitions. Add smart sentry turrets to the mix, probably some semi-autonomous small-tracked vehicles with turrets on themas well, and the battlefield of tomorrow is shaping up to be a completely hellish quagmire of death and sleep deprivation

Instead of firing 5 billion dollars worth of ordinance at 2nd or 3rd world militaries pay any citizen in that country or from any country for proof of killing their soldiers. Extra bounties based on rank.

People are paid SHIT in those countries. For example Yemen. Average Yemeni annual income is less than $1000 USD a year. We've spent ~1billion on ordinance. Just offer the people 10k for killing an officer. That's 10-20x their annual income and cheaper than a missile strike. Put dollar bounties on equipment to be destroyed or sabotaged by the people operating them. Make a deal with some ally to allow military who defect and kill their officers or destroy equipment to get some cash and relocate to an allied country.

The importation of negroes was long banned by then, the British brough them here. You pretend like we started doing slavery one day in 1860 out of nowhere when that isn't the case, and most of the Founding Fathers owned slaves, including Washington himself.
That's how the economy worked then, you either had a medieval-ass caste system with a bunch of buckbroken serfs like in Europe or you had organized slavery like in Rome or the early US to do all the hard work. Industrialization is what finally made slavery unprofitable, and that's the sole reason they wanted to get rid of it. Of course, while preventing the South from industrializing because the Northern titans of industry didn't want competition.
There's a reason Union soldiers tore up railways and destroyed what little industrial capacity the South even had as they marched on. Not because they were removing the enemy's ability to fight, because they knew they were conquering that land. It was so the South would remain a poor shithole after having everything they had destroyed, even after being re-absorbed and its people still technically considered US citizens. It's why countless people starved to death during the Reconstruction, and it's why the Reconstruction itself was focused on punishing the South rather than rebuilding and moving on as one nation. They'd rather have held all the other states as de facto vassals, similar to how Russia treats its neighbors.

Or build extremely cheap glider only ones with no engines. (I just want Zeppelins to make a comeback)

Tiny CIWSโ„ข. Comes in 3 calibers. 12 gauge, some intermediate cartridge that isn't the most popular thing on the civ market, and .22lr. 12 gauge is triple barrel, other two are 6. 12 gauge typically uses staggered ammo ordered as 00 buck, mixed size steel shot, and birdshit to basically make an airborne wall of metal. Intermediate is tracer, HP, FMJ. .22 is tracers and HP minimag type cartridges. Relies on something similar to UFODAP scanners and a basic EOTS working together to spot, ID, and automatically engage targets completely emission free. Can however be slaved to local AD radar and probably should be when possible. Meant to be able to be casually slapped wherever it needs to be including on vehicles. Comes with a tablet allowing manual control of the weapon, effectively makes it so any vehicle can have a CROWS turret provided it fits.

Yes you could load the 12 gauge version with all dragon's breath, FRAG-12, confetti shells, or what the fuck ever if you feel like that day.

Instead of buying an F35 you buy 150 MIG21s or however many that will get you.
Then they train in formations where one plane hides behind the other at a distance of less than 100m, so even after the first one is shot down the signal would still persist on radar.
Lines would be anywhere between 2 and 8 planes. Ideally it would look like traffic in the sky.

Sentry and smart turrets make sense, especially when you have to defend threats all the way to the smallest size of the spectrum, you can sprinkle them all over your vulnerable infrastructure (airfields) and would function as a huge force multiplier for any type of guard duties. I'm still convinced that these cancerous MIC grifters with their hyper-sonic turbo bullshit missiles and missile defense systems have taken so much budget away from everything else that everything at the squad and platoon level has stagnated because the generals were convinced they could hit everyone with wunderwaffe and end any conflict before it starts; which is obviously fucking horseshit.

The Coyote 3 is a retarded money grabbing design.

They cost 10 to 100 times more than the average target they will go after and are single use drones.

I am talking more like a reusable drone that can take out one terget after the other not be a flying suicide drone.

Like a flying AA-12 shotgun with AI aimbot that you just need to point in the general direction of the treath and It will do the rest. Only data you could send it is improved targeting data to more efficiently intercept other drones but should be able to operate even on it's own.

Missiles can go a lot further and have a lot more control authority in-flight.

Railguns are doing maybe 200km maximum range, missiles can do 1000km+ no problem.

Dedicated dronemother IFVs. The IFV has 1-2 crew members with the jobs of controlling drones launched remotely from the outside of the vehicle. The vehicle has a magazine of launchable drones so if one gets destroyed you can send out another. The drones have a variety of armaments but are also able to las a target so the IFV can launch a guided missile at it
