By 2030 China will have the world's most powerful air force by a decent margin. The only thing that they will be lacking in; is tankers and stealth bombers. Which they don't really need for their regional goals anyway. And they will still have around 200+ Y-20 tankers by 2030 that will still allow them to extend their reach into the Asia-pacific

Oh and I think 200-300 J-35s is a low estimate. China is already mass producing them from this year, they are supposed to be cheaper and easier to produce than the J-20 and we already know that the J-20 can be made at a rate of around 100 a year. And the J-35 is being made for both the PLAAF and the PLAN, so I can easily see 500-600 J-35s by 2030

There's a decent chance that China will have a few J-36s in active service by then.

So right now the most powerful air force is the USAF and the second most powerful is the USN and you are telling me China is going to be bigger than both combined in 5 years?

I don't think that this was true since 2023

China is fucked on supply chains for planes the same way we can't make another fleet without relying on china to get it done. Unless China is stupid enough not to learn after what the Judeo-Techno shamans did to Hezbollah, (which granted they might be) they won't make that many. Probably 200 or 300 tops. Long term this is bad for us because as they build domestic capacity they become more credibly able to meatwave the skies.

All that said, the war is almost certainly going start this fall, so all of these projections are moot to begin with.
