>M70B1 had the 1.5mm receiver (same as OPAP) for grenade launching.
And the GL gas block for a B1. Receiver size isn't relevant to the B3 designation.
You're still missing a bayo lug, but the OPAP would be the M70B3N.
That's an opinion since it's not an official designation anyway. But it is based off of the list of the designations and extrapolating the -N from the Yugos with a side rail, as most of the basic M70 variants didn't have an optic mount.
>I could be wrong though its hard to find a good source on receiver thickness
I'm not even sure there is a source for that beyond what people online measure them at, as it's not in any specs except maybe blueprints; as far as I know.
I could also be wrong, though.
>Apparently all bulged trunnion Yugos are 1.5mm receivers, from what I could find.

I only did a few, because I'm not totally happy with how the words towards the "valley" of the book bend.
But I'll dump a few.
>Is there a decent way to scan books
Fuck if I know, I'm winging it.
The free app is CamScanner. It does a pretty decent job, but i need a "cradle" of sorts apparently to avoid the blurs towards the spine.

Found an instructable on a cardboard stand I may try, but ironically I currently have none on hand at least of the size I would need.

Holy fuck you're either blind or dumb.
That sling has a longer clip/latch/whatever than a surplus one, you can clearly see it at the other end near the front of the rifle. You can see the clip/latch/whatever near the pistol grip. The reason it's right there is because the sling loop is directly above the pistol grip on the receiver.

I was trying to find photos of a bulged M92 in service. Supposedly the M92 is used by Serbian special forces, but I could only find photos of them with M4s. It may be analogous to the AK-104 in Russia where it's mainly used by SWAT for clearing rooms, and mercs who carry it for CQB along with an AK-74 for longer range engagements.

Yeah I wish they kept the slabside model for the US market and just chrome-lined the barrels. The beefed-up heavier receiver is pointless on a semi-auto 7.62x39 pistol. I guess theoretically it would hold up better if you did repeated super safe magdumps with a baffle can like a Wolverine on it.

What exactly is the difference?
One having TDP and the other having multiple examples to measure and duplicate?
Yugoslavia had Russian AKs to go off of, so it's not eyeballed as much as redesigned to accommodate Tito's requirements.

Zastava went through the trouble to stop selling their guns through a middleman (Century) set up a multi million dollar facility stateside to serve as a money printing machine.
I doubt you'll even notice a disruption in availability unless everybody panic buys until they're gone and their pause is still in effect.
>Then I think they'll take the Arsenal approach and start raising prices until they can keep stock while still selling enough to pay for shit/still profit.
But the only good time to buy an AK was yesterday, so if you want one; buy it when it's available.

I have no experience with the 103 specifically but my GF5 is my most accurate AK. Itโ€™s approaching 5k rounds and the only problem I had was with the firing pin which seemed to have been a problem with the run of AKs at that time. I replaced it with an arsenal firing pin and itโ€™s worked since. The gas tube lever is also loose compared to my other rifles but not as loose as Iโ€™ve seen some people get. From what I understand the 7.62x39 guns from PSA are pretty much figured out. I donโ€™t quite trust it the same way I trust my imports but itโ€™s worked fine so far and wear seems normal. Be warned however that if you want to change the furniture PSA spec is weird as fuck and seems to require a lot more fitting.

But as far as low effort and cost UF shorty that's bulged for your pleasure. 230 for the stock + 15 for the muzzle cone off Zastava website is a pretty low barrier of entry.

Iโ€™m never getting rid of the SAR and the Draco I can almost justify because itโ€™s so small and folds and out of the three Iโ€™ve owned this one came from the factory pre drilled and no muzzle welds, but the beryl just didnโ€™t save AKs for me like I thought it would, 7.62x39 is really what I love.

If you're going to sell the Beryl at least wait until they're no longer imported and cash out, AoA only has like 35 left in stock. The handguards are great, but the chin weld on the stock sucks. I'm not sure if I should get a cheek riser or just deal with it. Never selling my Draco, its such a fun retard gun.

NTA but it's nice seeing fresh images I haven't seen before (or haven't seen in years if I have) in high quality.

>>64011515
They look good from a distance but up close look bad if you look at it for more than 5 seconds. They use the KCI followers with the funny rubber piece on them. The paint looks good from about 2 feet away; the color is weirdly just off enough to notice and the grain is almost too fine and sparse, not to mention zero depth. Also they use stupidly thin metal baseplates in a weirdly eggshell/satin finish instead of the low gloss of a real thicker mag baseplate (compared to my East German 5.45). The whole thing smells like a semi-quality Chinese airsoft knockoff; looks good from afar. It's a shame because when I saw them at a local store I thought they looked really good until I got closer and took a minute to examine one. I also doubt they use metal reinforcing like the real bake mags but I could be wrong. What someone REALLY needs to do at a magazine manufacturing company is research how to use multiple colors of plastic in an injection mold to swirl colors of nylon pellets and mold magazines with multiple carefully selected pellet colors. This is NOT a hard thing to do as Remington was doing it in 1959 (nylon), Stevens was doing it with Tenite in the late 30s/early 40s, and Daisy had done it through the 90s (nylon?). It isn't something that has been forgotten nor was it something so technical and difficult it took forever to get it ready for use in production. I would buy a couple at the least. Make some 20s too.

I have had zero issues with the wolverine on any of my guns. AFAIK, it takes a very fucked up AK to actually cause that can to have problems. The bigger thing is tuning. On this gun, supers were way overgassed to the point of failure with the original piston. Put in kns and it runs great but now won't cycle subs all the way open because not enough gas. Meanwhile, my KR-103 cycles both great with factory piston because the gas port is smaller. Go figure.

This thing is very good. KUSA got a lot of deserved hate, but I bought this off a friend and have been very pleased. Pic is old so missing piggyback dot, but you get the idea. AES-10b also functions ok with supers. It would benefit from a kns, but I won't bother. Shooting that thing suppressed is retarded anyway. Its like 4 feet long.

Bonnie Rotten and Jesse James getting involved was revolting but really had nothing to do with AK quality, just brand PR. But yeah Iโ€™m just giving you shit I had an early fixed KR103 and it was nice. Any idea when they started using cheap parts or was that from the very beginning?

My Dracoโ€™s concentricity actually is that bad, which is why Iโ€™m looking at buying an M92 lol

Are you using Brown Bear or PPU subs? SGAmmo says that PPU 182gr subs wonโ€™t cycle in gas guns. I was wondering if I could get them to work in an M92 with a Wolverine and KNS reduced power recoil spring.

Similar to >>64014381, I want to say that there's so many boxes I wanted to buy which were stupid plentiful just a few years ago. That blue red and white Hunting Rifle Ammunition box sticks out to me specifically as well as the box with the guy shooting seated on the bottom left. A guy used to set up locally with crates of rifle mags, some pistol mags, gun accessories, and a shit ton of flat plastic veggie/fruit crates of ammo. Just everything and anything. There was always a ton of Wolf and those other two I mentioned above as well as so many random boxes of 22 you've never seen your fucking head would spin. Everything was affordable, in good shape, and brand name, too, for the most part (except some of the wild ammo mfgs). I had no idea how good I had it and if I knew how shit it'd get I'd have made some more money somewhere and bought half his stock.

Even with the reduced recoil spring and the gas on the kns all the way up, PPU subs, Atomic subs, and hornady subs will not cycle reliably on mine. Allegedly the default piston and the light recoil spring will cycle them but then you have no way to tune for supers.

Mine was an early model and came riveted. I had a gun smith drill it out and rivet the kns in. It's really great for supers but now I'm trapped. Not ideal but whatever. I've got other guns for subs or can try another carrier. It would be easier to switch carriers than pistons on the fly anyway

This is what google has told me in the past. Makes sense. I still obviously have not taken the plunge. I've also done this backwards. Obviously ideal would be stock bcg/piston and new bcg/kns.

Zastava is the one with the bulged trunnion, and it really does nothing if you're not launching rifle grenades, so it's just for looks if you're into it. Arsenals isn't bulged it's a milled trunnion instead of a stamped one. Basically heavier for no good reason but also for looks if you like it.

More money != better with AKs today. You can spend a lot of money on polished turds if you don't know what you're looking at.

I'm not a WBP shill but they are probably the best factory-built AKM you can buy today.
Atlantic and Arms of America are their importer and dealers, AoA they're out of stock but Atlantic has a bunch of them right now.
Picrel is linked below, the accessories are whatever but since it's your first AK it's not a bad idea to get them too. It's an AKM so if you wanted to change the stock and handuards then you could very easily

This is a really retarded question but does anyone know if anything like an under folder stock adapter exists for normal stocked AK's.
I doubt anything like that exists so maybe I'll just have to make one myself, could be fun.

I've seen clones that are way less expensive, but no bakelite and those are missing some of the "features". So while that'd be a deal breaker for me, it might not be for someone else.

Zpap85s and M90s have been around for years, and nobody really cares about them vs the 92s and M70s, which are very popular despite 7.62x39 being more expensive than 5.56 now. 7.62 AKs are just more fun. The only people who will ever care about 5.56 AKs are the diehard collectors. I own four 5.56 AKs but I prefer 7.62 always and forever.

I own a Beryl, the sole reason I got it was it was the closest thing to an AK-74. The M90 is some..thing that was never adopted on a large scale (like seriously pic related is the only photo I have ever seen in the hands of someone), it is Yugo pattern which most people avoid just because of that, finally it is comically heavy for a stamped AK. Also this is much the same reasons nobody wants a SAM5- heavy for what it is, doesn't take standard furniture, + woefully expensive for what you get.

So this gets back to my point, nobody has made an AKS-74.
>But PSA makes the AK-101!
I don't play the real lottery, let alone when it comes to firearms.

Ngl the 5.56 Beryl is probably the best 5.56 AK ever made because it was designed with that cartridge in mind from the start (more or less).
