Blackops 1. I heard recently that the first blackops had a relatively high TTK to the rest of the franchise, which surprised me because those guns felt punchy af. It also had a bunch of shit that it didnt have to, like picking 4x for the L85 or G11 would give them thier respective optic rather than just the colt 4x, or how you could mount a grenade launcher to the 74u and it was the tishina silenced one instead of just a GP25. Not to say BO1 was in any way realistic, but those kinds of unnecessary flourishes really demonstrated what a labor of love those early CODs were.

Ghosts really tried to change the formula by stretching out sightlines and adding DMRs, and I respect that, but the guns were very samey and unmemorable. Not as bad as MW3 where half the SMGs had the same sound, but still bland.

Yes, the fucking asteroid miner mission turned COD from a FPS to a horror game REALLY fucking quick. The fighter sequences could have been a standalone game, thats how good they were. If only it were more fleshed out, but people hated on it, and wanted BF1 so they got COD WW2/Vanguard so they got exactly what they deserved.

Infinite Warfare was actually not terrible but the fucking soap opera drama writing almost ruined it for me. It felt like a cop/hospital drama at times with how overly emotional and dramatic all the characters are. The villain is a fucking joke too, one of the most shallow villains in CoD history, and that’s saying something. But somehow this game still turned out pretty good, and it’s the single only CoD I know of with vehicle segments that are actually fucking fun. I unironically played all the optional side missions simply because I just loved the fighter jet scenes that much

I’ll always be mad at the ending of this game. The gunplay was absolute ass but I actually found the story kinda interesting. But then you get to the ending and it just pulls the most gigantic asspull in the history of gaming. And because nobody liked Ghosts there was never a sequel so the story just ends there and never continues. Also the dog was cool even though he only shows up in like two missions
