Finally, the shit with Milley fit into a clear pattern of behaviour from the source of all the vitriol with Milley (who also appointed him) and the other data points in that pattern are also people who, no matter how much I might think they're self-impressed wankers, definitely don't seem like turncoats etc, like Mattis.
