>>64060890I'm a frog myself, and the economic situation in Italy is not much different that ours, and I assume it's the same for our Spanish neighbors and others.
Yet, I still think

For all the "yuropoor" memes Burgers like to spout out (half of them being chinkindianzigger trollfarm bots), Europe is honestly still filthy rich. Just travel a bit around the world, and you'll see it instantly. Don't get fooled by capital cities facades, go venture in their suburbs, lesser towns and villages, and you'll see. Heck, just play the famous game of dropping a google street view at random on the map, even that is enough. Traveling and discovering the world only ensured I will only live in a G7 country. Nowhere else. And boy I'm glad I was born where I was, decent S to SR pull in the life-gacha.
When it comes to our economies, ours at least, they're far from being done, money still flows. I too think we have absurd taxation, but at the end of the day, I still save 40 to 50% of my salary. Our people retire at like 62 on average (public servant introduce a biais to this, private sector is more like 64), and while it fucking SUCKS t add 6 months or a year, it's still bellow our direct competitors, let alone the rest of the world. Recently there were talks about removing 2 public holidays. It fucking sucks as well (protip: best-seller Art of the Deal tactics, it will end up being one, ask two to get one), but at the end of the day, I have 10 weeks of yearly paid leave. Even if they remove one day, god knows how far ahead I still am compared to the rest of the world. Honestly I have so much holidays, there are years I can't take them all.
There is money. Plenty of it. And we're talking about states that are able to raise money efficiently, they have the tools, they're not corrupted third world shitholes. It sucks, I hate taxes, but if the need arise, Europe has a diverse economy and money to face threats. If it's to kill ziggers, it's an excellent use of it.
